Flyaways

I’ve included a picture so you can see what I mean. I have all of these new hairs growing in (a medication I take made me lose a ton of hair) and they are making me really self conscious. I need a way to keep them glued down that will not make my hair look greasy. Any ideas?

Re: Flyaways

@KehDee  Living proof perfect hair day T.B.D. Cream works really well for this kind of thing.

after I am all done, just take a bit on my fingers and run it through the flyaways or use toothbrush method that @GG84  mentioned.

for me personally Living Proof T.B.D. Works better if I have used heat to style and Olaplex 6 works better when I am air drying. I must be doing something wrong because when I use Olaplex 6 and use my styler (2-in-1 brush blow dryer thing) my hair get weird/ coily so they don’t look as smooth and look more frizzy.

Thank you @Anonymous7!

RE: Re: Flyaways

Thanks for the recommendation @Anonymous7 is this available at Sephora? I’m unable to find it.

Re: RE: Re: Flyaways

@KehDee It isn't sold at Sephora.  When I click the "where to buy" link on One N Only's website, it brings me to Sally Beauty, but I didn't see the product on their website. Here's the product page on the brand's website: one-n-only(dot com)/catalog.php?pcID=4_3&products_id=43

I suggest contacting the brand directly and asking where you can buy it.  I searched online, and saw that it was OOS on Amazon, temporarily unavailable at Sears and OOS at Walmart, and on backorder on US Salon Supply's site.  I wonder if it's been discontinued?

Some BICers have rec'd clear mascara for keeping flyaways/broken hairs in line.  And of course there's always the hairspray on the toothbrush trick.

Best of luck!  🙂

Re: Flyaways

@KehDee  I also have this issue. After I had my son I had a bunch of new growth. I found that I used OUAI - Texturizing Hair Spray Mini and spray it on a toothbrush (not one I use in my mouth) and brush it down on my hair. It’s an awesome dry shampoo alternative too!!

RE: Re: Flyaways

Thank you so much @ather, I’ll definitely try this! I would never have thought to use a toothbrush

Re: RE: Re: Flyaways

@KehDee

I do this with OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme on a toothbrush. I don’t like hairspray because of the high alcohol content, so I prefer a styling cream to tame my fly always.

Re: RE: Re: Flyaways

@KehDee  If you have hairspray you can also try that. It works too I like the ouai one just cause it’s flexible.
