Flat Iron that doesn't burn to touch!

I have bought two flatirons recently (the Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium 1" and the Conair InfinitiPro Tourmaline Cermamic 1"). They both get SO hot to touch on the outside of where the plates are that I keep burning myself when I try to curl my hair. What flat irons are out there that are good for curling/creating waves and are cool to the touch?

@rachelp91 @They sell heat resistant gloves that you can wear. They are not thick in material so you can still style your hair like normal. Do a Google search for them.
