DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

Recently super curious about this blow dryer.! I just can't afford it right now. Is it honestly worth the money and what VIB discount codes can you use?? thanks (:

Re: DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

Depends on your hair type I think. If you have medium+ thick hair absolutely! To air dry my hair it takes 2-3 hours but 15 minutes to blow dry it with the dyson. I love always leaving my house with dry hair now where before it took so long and I’d have to straighten as well, now I can blow dry straight and be out the door.

I did buy my Dyson with air miles, if you’re not travelling anywhere soon and don’t mind using your points 😊

Re: DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

Love mine and it works as it says it dries your hair faster. Honestly my old dryer, Italian hairdryer, made my hair a lot more shiny but the Dyson dries faster.  It is a lot more lightweight than most hairdryers and easy on the ears. Also I've noticed less damage with my Dyson. If I even use it on its lowest setting and lowest flow it still dries faster than my old dryer. Purchased it through QVC and they had a payment plan where I paid it off in 6 what they call easy payments. So it helped my budget to make payments versus paying for it right out.

I didn't realize it was quieter! Now I'm more interested.

I like it a lot however I do find that my hair is always slightly damp after I’m done blow drying does anyone else experience this? I blow dry for around my usual time with my previous blow dryer. My hair will feel dry then when it cools down it feels wet.

Re: DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

Im also curious and not sure what to do! I need a new dryer and have been loving the gift sets which have been coming out.  I'm debating between the Drybar makin waves bundle which has the dryer, wave iron (which I dont need), brush, clips, and 4 full size products... And between the Dyson x Ouai set.

I know that I tried Ouai items in the past and wasn't too happy with them, however the set still looked good.  On the other hand, I love drybar items and think I would enjoy the set.  But the Dyson dryer seems more interesting, lol!

I do not need the curling iron in the Drybar set however I also need a brush, and the other Drybar set which is $200 doesn't include a brush so I'd have to spend more on one anyways so figured the larger bundle is more worth it.

Sorry to sorta tag onto your post, I was hoping maybe someone has tried both to help me decide lol.

Re: DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

My boyfriend gave it to me for Christmas and it is hands down the best beauty tool I own.  At the time, I hadn't been to a salon in ages and my style was horrendously grown out.  I used it before skyping with my parents and my mom thought I'd just been to have my haircut!  I have thin, fine hair that can easily go limp.  I don't/can't do much with my hair and prefer a no-fuss approach to styling.  This dryer has consistently given me salon quality style that holds through the day with more volume than any other dryer has given me.  From other comments I've seen, maybe it comes down to hair type, but for my hair, I treasure this dryer.

Re: DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

Thanks for your input! I also have baby-fine hair with JUST ENOUGH natural wave to not stay attractively flat, and I'm toying with spending my bonus on a Dyson during sale. Yours is the first review I've seen from someone cursed with ridiculously fine hair shafts; most reviewers are talking about heavy hair, or curls.

My hair dresser has the Dyson hair dryer and all attachme...

My hair dresser has the Dyson hair dryer and all attachments and to be honest I can't tell a difference at all. I have thick, medium length and over processed hair.. I have had the same hair dresser for 3 years and I go once a week for wash blow dry and style. I can honestly say I don't think.it was worth the money.

RE: DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

I purchased mine during the VIB 20% off last fall, and I was able to get $80 off the purchase price! I have fine hair but lots of it, so it took a while to dry with my old dryer. The dyson makes it dry noticeably faster and I think my hair keeps more shine as well. The three speed settings and heat settings are great and the attachments are magnetic so they are easy to swap on and off without even turning the dryer off. All of my friends/ family that have borrowed mine love it too. I'd say it's definitely worth it!

RE: DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

Approximately, when is the VIB 20% off?

Re: DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

Yes, I have one. I got it pretty much right when it came out so I've had it for almost a year. I've also used it every day for pretty much a year--I just don't take it traveling because I have a very powerful travel dryer that works well. I purchased it in Canada on The Shopping Channel and was able to pay in 5 installments with no interest, so that helped me take the plunge. Still don't regret it at all.

For me, it's worth every penny and has made a difference in my hair. I've always had long, thick, coarse hair but it wasn't until I started using my Dyson that I really saw a difference in shine and smoothness.

Great!

Re: DYSON hairdryer thoughts?!

I don't own it, but I've had it used on me.  It did dry my hair really quickly, but I can't see that it would be worth the price unless you have a lot of hair.  Just my personal opinion (keep in mind I have really fine hair that can air dry in about 30-45 minutes).
