Blonde hair turned orange?

I’m not sure where else to go with this question. 

I got my hair done two weeks ago and am going back tomorrow to have it fixed. I am
Not sure if the stylist did not leave my foils on long enough but my hair is now orangey/coppery/brassy. An assistant washed and toned my hair and my stylist handled 2 more clients while the assistant was working on me. The stylist listed off several things for the assistant to mix to tone my hair. I swore that before when I have seen the toner my stylists in the past have used the toner was purple. This one was a bud light brown color. Could it be that the toner was incorrect and that’s why the color turned such a bad orangey/coppery/brassy color? #toningblondehair #hairhelp #stylistshelpme

Absolutely not. 
A toner does not have to be purple to work and FYI there are a million factors at play. A toner is not mixed with 10/20/30/40 volume developer, it is mixed with a demi activator. From point A of when the formula was put into the bowl to point B when it was applied to your Hair, oxidization probably didn’t occur yet. Developer accelerates oxidation. 
Did your hair look orange immediately when you left the salon? It doesn’t sound like it was. 
Over using Purple shampoo will strip toner right out of your hair. Wouldn’t recommend Fanola.  Curious what your stylist said/did.

@GG84 it was but I couldn’t tell with the lighting in there salon.  Once I got in my car I could see it and once I got home I could really see it.  I went back today and 3 hours later it’s blonde again and I’m very happy with it.

@AshMBarber Honestly there are so many factors to keeping your hair going brassy that its probably easier to treat it at home as opposed to figure out what caused it.

Some other great purple shampoo options - these will tone my hair back to a silvery grey.

• Fanola Shampoo - You'll want a REALLY good conditioner this makes your hair pretty dry
• Clairol Shimmer Lights - This one I use both shampoo and conditioner and my hair comes out soft-ish 

I'm actually looking at getting the amika Blonde Maintenance - Bust Your Brass Purple Haircare Starter Set just to try out but I have no clue how it works

the toner, the time the bleach was left in the hair and the tones of the toner and the number of bleach 20.30,40 depends what was used. I do highlights all the time and I have black hair. They needed to use ash to tone it down. Try the blue shampoo from matrix put it on your hair when it is dry for 30 mins and the wash it that should tone it down a great deal if not the light blonde you are trying to get.
