Share how you care for your hair (or scalp!) and you could win big.

Between May 2^nd and May 31^st at 11:59pm Pacific Time, comment on this thread by hitting “reply” and sharing a hair tip that changed your life! It could be a game-changing hair routine hack, a tool or styling product you swear by (don’t forget to tag the product using the “#” symbol!), or even a hair-care or scalp-care staple. ELIGIBILITY: Open Only to SEPHORA COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO ARE Legal Residents OF, AND RESIDING IN, THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC) WHO ARE OF LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE (AND AT LEAST 18). Void in quebec and Where Prohibited. Employees (and their immediate families (spouse, and parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of Sephora USA, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants (and, if eligible minors, their parents or legal guardians) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or judges, which are binding and final on matters relating to this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws.

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes will begin on May 2, 2022 at the time the Sweepstakes Post is posted, and ends May 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. PT (“Sweepstakes Period”).

HOW TO ENTER:  During the Sweepstakes Period, to enter, find the post in Sephora’s Beauty Insider Community forum about this sweepstakes and comment with your best hair tip. There is a limit of one (1) entry per day; however, each entry must include a hair tip that is substantially different from any other hair tip provided by you, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. PT on May 31, 2022. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are void. Entries in excess of the stated entry limit will be void. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple accounts in an attempt to circumvent the entry limitation. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent these Official Rules, your entry may be void. Entries become the sole property of Sponsor. All Community terms and guidelines apply.

Drawing:  Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing held on or about June 6, 2022 from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by direct message and may be required to execute and return an affidavit (or, declaration) of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within seven (7) days of date of issuance. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or a potential winner is not in compliance with these rules or is no longer a Sephora Community member, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner will be selected. If a Canadian resident, the potential winner will be required to correctly answer a time-limited, skill-testing question without any assistance in order to be eligible to receive a prize. Failure to answer the question correctly will result in the prize being forfeited. Only three (3) alternate winners will be selected after which the prize shall remain unawarded.

Prize And APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”) (15): USD$200 in Sephora e-Gift Cards (terms and conditions apply to use). ARV: $200 each. Total ARV of all prizes USD$3,000. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. All federal, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes), if any, and all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winner may not substitute, assign or transfer prize, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value. Prize is not redeemable for cash. I have really liked the Kérastase Genesis Heat Protecting Leave-In Treatment for Weakened Hair 150 mL/ 5.1 oz - I definitely notice a difference of dryness in my hair when I don’t use it. This helps tame frizz and smells great too!

One of my hair tips that works for me is brushing my hair before going in the shower and shampooing and conditioning generously (but only the ends) . Of course I have to use plenty of water to rinse. Very, very important**

Before I dry my hair I spray in OUAI Heat Protection Spray - this leaves my hair smelling terrific and I don't have to worry about heat damage on my locks!

My hair tip is to be gentle with drying, avoiding using hot blow dryers when possible! I also avoid aggressive towel drying, as this can still damage my sensitive bleached hair. Gently squeezing out excess water and then air drying is the best for me!

Silk scrunchies are the best! I've always hated regular hair ties because I can never seem to get them out without pulling my hair. The silk ones prevent tangling and never pull my hair. They also don't make creases in your hair either!

I wish that I could have your attitude @Mellmars1185. I color my hair every 4 weeks and I hide my grey hairs in between. During the pandemic I had 4 inches of grey hairs. Good thing not too many people saw me.

One tip I've found helps keep my hair healthy is to limit heat styling to only once or twice per week. I stopped blow-drying and curling my hair every day once I began working from home and the improvement was amazing! Less split ends, more shine, and I can get ready much faster. I still love heat styling, but only on certain occasions.

As much as I love a boar bristle brush, to keep shedding to a minimum on my relaxed hair, I've switched to brushes like SEPHORA COLLECTION Sephora Collection x Wet Brush Luxe Quick Dry .  I also brush less frequently for the same reason and just gently finger comb instead.

Another tip is to invest in a high quality hair straightener and try to use the low heat setting. My favorite is Drybar The Brush Crush Heated Straightening Brush

I use a silk pillowcase - it's so much easier to avoid tangled hair that way!
