Share how you care for your hair (or scalp!) and you could win big.

Between May 2^nd and May 31^st at 11:59pm Pacific Time, comment on this thread by hitting “reply” and sharing a hair tip that changed your life! It could be a game-changing hair routine hack, a tool or styling product you swear by (don’t forget to tag the product using the “#” symbol!), or even a hair-care or scalp-care staple. ELIGIBILITY: Open Only to SEPHORA COMMUNITY MEMBERS WHO ARE Legal Residents OF, AND RESIDING IN, THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC) WHO ARE OF LEGAL AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE (AND AT LEAST 18). Void in quebec and Where Prohibited. Employees (and their immediate families (spouse, and parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related) of Sephora USA, Inc. (“Sponsor”), its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to enter or win. By participating, entrants (and, if eligible minors, their parents or legal guardians) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or judges, which are binding and final on matters relating to this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, state and local laws.

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes will begin on May 2, 2022 at the time the Sweepstakes Post is posted, and ends May 31, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. PT (“Sweepstakes Period”).

HOW TO ENTER:  During the Sweepstakes Period, to enter, find the post in Sephora’s Beauty Insider Community forum about this sweepstakes and comment with your best hair tip. There is a limit of one (1) entry per day; however, each entry must include a hair tip that is substantially different from any other hair tip provided by you, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. PT on May 31, 2022. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are void. Entries in excess of the stated entry limit will be void. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple accounts in an attempt to circumvent the entry limitation. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent these Official Rules, your entry may be void. Entries become the sole property of Sponsor. All Community terms and guidelines apply.

Drawing:  Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing held on or about June 6, 2022 from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by direct message and may be required to execute and return an affidavit (or, declaration) of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within seven (7) days of date of issuance. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or a potential winner is not in compliance with these rules or is no longer a Sephora Community member, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor’s discretion, an alternate winner will be selected. If a Canadian resident, the potential winner will be required to correctly answer a time-limited, skill-testing question without any assistance in order to be eligible to receive a prize. Failure to answer the question correctly will result in the prize being forfeited. Only three (3) alternate winners will be selected after which the prize shall remain unawarded.

Prize And APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”) (15): USD$200 in Sephora e-Gift Cards (terms and conditions apply to use). ARV: $200 each. Total ARV of all prizes USD$3,000. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied. All federal, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes), if any, and all other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winner. Something that really helped me was styling my hair wet and when its upside down. Personally I have 2b/2c hair, and whether you use hair products or just let it air dry, I really recommend bending so that ur hair is upside down, then applying your products and scrunching in order to create volume 🙂

I stopped bleaching my hair! I could never get my hair to grow. I used all the products, massaged my scalp - everything! It would not grow. My wonderful hairdresser encouraged me to stop lightening. I did and wow. Within a year I was seeing lots of growth! I also started using #verb shampoo and conditioner and heat protector. The rest is history and my hair is long, healthy and I love it! ❤️

The one hair tip I found the most useful is DO NOT wash your hair everyday. It takes some training for ur hair to get used to longer wash cycles but it will get there!

My best hair tip is using a clarifying shampoo once a week! I love the ouai shampoo. It gets rid of all that buildup, so your hair is less oily and needs to be washed less.

In the shower, I first rinse with steamy water. Then I use Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo (right now it’s been 2 months since having to bleach my hair then do two rounds of the dye same day which killed my hair and made it so dry 😫). I scrub for about 2-3 minutes, deeeeeeep. After, I rinse very thoroughly with the water at the same temperature. Next, I put in Moroccanoil Conditioner ! Rub rub rub for 1 minute, then I wash the rest of my body (usually takes 4-6 minutes). Next, I change the temperature to warm, but on the colder side of warm, (if that makes sense??? ). I then go again with the same conditioner & shampoo mixed, rub it in my hands at first, then apply to my hair. Then J turn the shower to the coldest level and rinse jt out. As soon as I get out, I use a comb through my whole head of hair. Crown Affair The Comb No. 002 Horn is a good option from @SephoraBIC . I use the comb to get my bangs and curl them to the sides, it dries them in a way where I never have to style them with heat (which helps keeping it healthy so much ✨) . Next, I use my hands and scrunch my hair up. I let it air dry. My hair can then go 1-3 days without a wash, not be oily, and stay in good shape. AND, it’s slowly, but surely, repairing well from that…. fateful day of chemicals and hair dye through my hair 🥴🙌

My tip is to give hair washing a break . I wash every 2 -3 days and use the living proof dry shampoo in between days where I don’t wash my hair!

I used to have several bottles in my shower of hair product (shampoo, conditioner…etc). A couple for my husband and a couple for me! Now I’ve cut down hugely on my plastic consumption by asking my sister-in-law who is a stylist to buy me the giant bottles of Olaplex shampoo and conditioner (No. 4 & 5). It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product really does what it claims.  It made my hair so much softer, shinier, etc.  A good tip is to spray it only your hands, then apply.

i have super dry and bleach damaged hair. the thing that has changed my hair the most is this:

1)apply l Olaplex No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment 

2)immediately follow with Olaplex No. 3 Hair Repair Perfector 

3)then put a shower cap on, and sleep in the treatment. 

this allows the products to not dry out making them continually effective. you’ll get even better results from products that already help a lot!

One of my all-time favorite hair products is Alterna's CC cream. It makes my hair so soft and shiny and I love that it includes sun protection! My scalp sometimes burns in the summer and I hate using traditional sunscreen in my part so when I found this product I was so happy. I also love that it works as a heart protectant - great for my lazy hair days.
