What are yourbest tips/tricks for trimming your own bangs?

Sharp scissors, good thinning shears, rat-tail comb, a clip to get the rest of your hair outta place and practice 🙂 I keep my bangs just above my cheekbones so I can do a side sweep. It's taken some time for me to perfect the trim but just do it little by little. 

I use the thinning shears to help make the ends not look so straight and even. I also use it to trim the area where my bangs and longer hair meet so it blends in better. I also make sure to trim my bangs in a bit of a slant because I like the side swept look that slightly covers my eyebrow.
