Always Trying New Products, Always Dissatisfied

Hey everyone. My hair is naturally curly, but after dying it over and over in a short period of time, I can't seem to be happy with any products (combination of products) that I use. This pic is styled with OUIDAD - Mongongo Oil Multi-Use Curl Treatment, OUIDAD - Curl Quencher® Hydrafusion Intense Curl Cream, and ouidad botantical boost curl energizing ...

Still unhappy...can someone give me some direction, please!

@tastelikewater I've looked at Naturally Curly as well. Reddit's sidebar is like that..overload. My modified version works fine. Do you follow the whole method?

@TrysBeautyItems I'm mostly CG, but even after all of this time I still haven't found a holy grail product combo. I like to keep my routine simple, because my hair gets stringy and weighed down so easily. I use the Deva Delight low-poo and conditioner, and I'm trying out a few styling products. My favorite was the Living Proof Curl Defining Styling Creme, and I'm so sad to hear that it's been discontinued. Back to the drawing board!

@tastelikewater Do you find Deva Curl to have a strong scent? I have that Ulta break from weeks ago to try, but through the bottle they seem to have a scent, even though those old 1 oz sample packets seemed ok scent-wise (no surprise things changed by now)

@TrysBeautyItems The original line has a strong scent that I don't enjoy at all (it's a common complaint). The Delight shampoo and conditioner are lighter and citrusy, which I find quite pleasing, and I don't find that it lingers on my hair. I also enjoy the Light Defining Gel, but it's not as effective as the Ouidad.
