This launch was definitely one for me, too! I have to admit that being blonde has become a bit of an addiction of mine. I'm not really quite sure why, but I do feel like I have a bit more fun? C'mon it can't just be me?

All joking aside, I was super honored to be invited to a fun social content-capture event with Kerastase to celebrate their newest launch and FULL RANGE, Blond Absolu! The event was located in a beautiful, private neighborhood, in Los Angeles: Bel Air! Which was the perfect setting, because, these products represent the epitome of luxury and care for any shade and style of blonde. The brand has created a complete set of amazing product options to choose from based on repair and color neutralization. Note that most of the products have that familiar purple/lavender tone, so they are double-duty designed to nourish and treat damage, while brightening and cutting brassiness:

The Blond Absolu Range

The event was amazing! I was instantly greeted by their EDU and Marketing teams to give me an exclusive tour of the estate, as well as a run-down of all the product. As we moved through the space, I was able to experience so many cool photo-op moments all designed to showcase your unique blonde. My favorite, of course, was the entirely holographic wall. [Low-Key: I am definitely feeling some-kind-of-way about recreating this in my own home, lol.]  The brand also shared with me the story of how they aim to really showcase and celebrate all kinds of blond, from the bold and bright to the soft and subtle. I think it’s a nice message; one I can relate to and sincerely appreciate.

Upon arriving upstairs, I was welcomed to a custom hair analysis and micro-scan, which allowed me to see any and all of the damage that my hair had taken during chemical processing. It was so amazing to hear feedback and advise from their expert hair team! They walked me through how to use each product and when I might work them into my routine. Basically, the long and short of it, is to think of the products on two scales: Repair vs Neutralize. So each product in the range has a unique level or balance of color correction versus hydration/repair. A lot like a wardrobe, which I LOVE! So, based on how my hair is feeling that day, there’s the right product to address it.

The most ironic thing is that I had gone in for a color treatment earlier that day in preparation for the event itself! So now I have everything I need to maintain this tone.

The two products that I am most excited to try are the CicaFlash Intense Fortifying Treatment and the CicaPlasme Leave-In Serum! I love the concept of CicaFlash; It’s billed to have the nourishing power of a mask, with the light touch of a conditioner. Essentially you apply it onto shampooed and towel-dried hair and leave it on for 3-5 in shower then rinse, a lot like a K-Beauty “Flash Mask.” As for CicaPlasme, I have already been mixing Toning Drops into current favorite leave-in conditioner, so hopefully this would cut out a step and make my styling routine a bit quicker. I also love that this is a thermal protectant, as my hairstylist has been after me to start diffusing my curls.

Kerastase truly pulled out all the stops and it was a beautiful way to be introduced to the brand! I want to thank them for their time, all the love and energy they shared, and I am so excited about this partnership! I’ll be using all 5 of these products over the next few weeks, so stay tuned to this thread for feedback!

Thanks for sharing your lovely experience and knowledge with us 🙂 I'm a natural blonde, but I've been trying to slowly bleach my hair to get it as close to white as I can for the past year, so purple shampoos and repairing hair masks are a must in my hair routine. That being said, the hair mask sounds amazing. I've never seen a purple hair mask before, so I'm intrigued 🤔

Yesssss KéRASTASE help me with my brassy bronde 😂😂 so happy to hear you had great results with the mask @JeffreyBD , that’s the product I will probably be picking up first. I used to use an in-showering brightening treatment but the smell was like salon bleach and SO unpleasant. The heat protecting serum looks interesting too! I always like to pretend that I won’t use heat styling tools but I always end up going back haha.

Thank you so much! Yeah the repair mask is DEEPLY conditioning. Almost so much so, that I almost didn't know when I had finished washing it out all the way, Lol. If that makes sense?

I loved reading this @JeffreyBD . The mask and heat protector sound great! My blond balayage is definitely looking a little brassy these days, so this range looks great. I’ll be checking this thread for any updates you add!

After FIRST use, I am super stoked with what I saw. The Deep Conditioning Purple Mask is soooo buttery. It literally left my hair feeling like SILK!!!! I forgot to mention that a lot of the products also have Hyaluronic Acid, so they instantly boost moisture. I noticed a subtle increase in flexibility as well, like it's not as easy to break.

What I also really enjoyed, is that you can smell the Eidelweiss Extract in almost all of the products, so the scent is very soft and refreshing. Never over-powering.

I am wondering how long term use will effect damage.

@JeffreyBD The mask sounds wonderful. My hair is really fine, so it’s easily damaged by peroxide. If it made your hair feel like silk, I’m definitely tempted to try! I’ll do anything to prevent breakage!  I’m not sure what eidelweiss extract smells like, but it sounds nice.
