Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
Easy dinner tonight. Pasta with jarred sauce that I mixed with ricotta cheese and fresh basil. Someone likes a little pasta with their pecorino. lol
@Skunk12puzzola I didn't know that! I just knew that my husband always wants protein with his pasta (I know that pasta has a pretty good level of protein on its own, but...he wants more.) I was tired, didn't thaw any meat, so ricotta was the choice.
@Ispend2much6 Mmm looks delicious. I want to try percorino
fried fish al isleño (fried fish with a tomato; green and red peppers; onion; black pepper sauce) what we also call pescado 🐟 Al-Mojo
@idanyd it looks delightful 🐟 also, love bell peppers!! 😋
Thank you so much!! @Mellmars1185 It is very tasty! Usually use red snapper for this Dish 🐟
Thank you so much!!! @Saradestin it’s actually a local dish thats very popular on coastal towns here!
Ok, probably you will laugh at this, but I just discovered a brand of green teas in my local grocery store: Arizona teas. Is it a common brand in the US? which flavors are the best? I saw that they have green tea with honey 🍯 and with peach 🍑. I will buy one because the packaging is cute and floral!!
@Skunk12puzzola I used to drink the Arnold Palmer flavor when I was much younger; 1/2 lemonade 1/2 sweet tea. I usually drink plain unsweetened iced tea now that I make, but I make a lemonade iced tea for my family. It's better than soda I think and I can control the sugar levels.
But, my favorite tea for summer is iced tea made with English breakfast tea with sugar, lemon, and fresh mint.
That bottle looks so cool @Skunk12puzzola ! 😍 I just drink water and home made teas, so I haven’t tried any of these. 😊
@Skunk12puzzola We used to drink that a lot years ago but it’s soooo sweet. My favorite bottled green tea is by ITO EN cause it has no sugar. We usually buy litre bottles of it just to have it around.
A sweet tea I REALLY love though, is Gogo No Kocha Royal Milk Tea! I love milk teas to a fault though! They’re basically a dessert to me and impossible to resist! They have a peach tea as well that’s delicious, but the milk tea is my kryptonite.
