Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

@Mellmars1185 Yum! 🙂 Chicken thighs are probably my favorite "white meat" protein.
Last night I put the no-knead bread dough together for King Arthur Flour's Malted Wheat Flake Bread recipe. Couldn't be easier.
I let it rise overnight, put it in a cast iron dutch oven to rise a second time, put the dutch oven in the cold oven at 450 degrees, then baked.
This is a chewy, moist bread with a definitely chewy crust- my favorite! And a great flavor. I substituted einkorn flour for white whole wheat, no other changes.
@Ispend2much6 Wow! That’s amazing! 😍😋 My cousin and my father also cook all sorts of breads and their results are so professional! But I find it so complicated that I haven’t even tried 😅
@Saradestin. You would be really happy with a no-knead bread recipe. They are very simle very little work you just need time to let the dough rise. Baking it in a cast iron pot gives it a chewy crust.

Ok I was a little ambitious today after work. The energy was flowing. So why not use it to make some food?! I made breakfast for dinner for the men in my family which included toast, hashbrowns, bacon, cut up avocado and scrambled eggs. They both decided to make a sandwich. Myself...I made a salad inspired by my Spa trip in February and of course some bacon and eggs on the side. For desert (and lunch snacks for my son) I made chocolate chip, oatmeal and banana muffins!
