Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
@heartsmyface @My husband has had oysters but I have only eaten clams.
@SportyGirly125 I don’t think I’ve had clams outside soups and chowders. How have you eaten them?
@heartsmyface My grandma used to cook and season them still in the shell. We would just have to get a fork and take them out and chew them. I use to eat them a lot until one day I saw little eyes and couldn’t bear to eat them anymore.
Not quite clams but I thought of this immediately!
Found him! We were out at a fancy restaurant in Japan and this little dude was staring at me on my plate and I couldn’t 🤣. He had a photoshoot instead. We’re so not fancy so he got a name a squeaky voice and an honorary place on the knife rest.
@heartsmyface Omg yes these pictures exactly describe why I can’t eat clams and things that have eyeballs staring at me like shrimp.
I told my little cousin about shrimp having poop still on them when we eat them at Asian restaurants and now he can’t eat them anymore.
What a lovely thought to have at mealtime, @SportyGirly125. All sarcasm aside- this is news to me. Eeek! Prawns & shrimps never really appealed to me even before I read your post. So thanks for the intel
@MvLL It's not all the time they have poop on them but still you would think they would take it off.
@SportyGirly125. Yes, we anticipate good standards and care in a kitchen. Yet the old saying, "You eat a pound of dirt before you die" comes to mind.
Oh my goodness @heartsmyface @this is such a teaser. We forgive you for not taking us with you 😂🤣👍
@blackkitty2014 Ha it was at home but you’re always invited 😉
@Skunk12puzzola Ha sometimes:). and you’re very right that they were paired with champagne. Cause it’s basically illegal to eat oysters without bubbly;)
It has been a loooong time since the last time I posted here, and it hasn’t been because of not having any food to take a picture of! I have plenty!
I will post yesterday’s meal, delicious grilled salmon with broccoli and sweet and sour grain mustard sauce. I have to say that it was exquisite and it couldn’t be easier and faster!
Yum, @Saradestin. Salmon every day would be perfect! Yours looks delicious with broccoli.
@eshoe I love fish but I miss the great variety that I had in Spain. This salmon was exquisite though 😋😋
