What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? Smiley Very Happy

Re: What's on your plate?

I literally said to myself "teriyaki salmon" before I read it. Now I know what I want for dinner lol.

Re: What's on your plate?

It looks wonderful! Just look at the sheen of that glaze!!! O_O

Re: What's on your plate?

I'm baking some chip encrusted chicken pieces tonight. I have some maple bacon chips left that I think I'll add to the chip crumbles....I have been on these chips for weeks now...sooooo good!

Re: What's on your plate?

I'm putting on my shoes.  Where is this chicken happening??

Re: What's on your plate?

It happened, I made the nuggets last night with some rosemary potato wedges.

nomnomnomnomnom

Re: What's on your plate?

I'm just here to look at home cooked meals.  I am eating leftover takeout moussaka tonight.  Not pretty but oh so delicious!

Re: What's on your plate?

Yum!!! I. Love. Moussaka! Here's my XXXL potato moussaka ( I love that one the bestest of 'em all! ) I made some time ago for a certain family get-together.

Re: What's on your plate?

Re: What's on your plate?

I just had to share this yumminess with you guys! Chicken, broccoli, mushroom, cheese... casserole. Generously topped with grated mozzarella, and some grated Parmigiano Reggiano for an extra kick of flavor. All topped with bread crumbs. Yum! Just look at that glorious, fantastic, crunchy crust on the top!!!

( Put it on the smallest plate I've found, you know... to try trick myself... you know... so I don't end up getting myself into food coma. Had to be able to run errands after this baby! Waaaah?! )

Re: What's on your plate?

I need this in my life. Right now.

Re: What's on your plate?

I'm already hungry and this is not helping...

Re: What's on your plate?

I used to make something like this a few years ago ahwen I did a lot of casseroles.

Come into my belly!

Re: What's on your plate?

I've been on a kick of brewing up some English breakfast tea and adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream to serve as my milk/sugar combo. I don't go too heavy on the ice cream so it's not super sweet, but I don't tend to drink super sweet tea anyways.

Re: What's on your plate?

That sounds really good.  Interesting idea, never would have thought of that myself.

Re: What's on your plate?

I've been doing it for my coffee and espresso too!

Re: What's on your plate?

Ahh I'm going to have to try that!

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh I love food and cooking! This thread appears to be dead so now I've taken it over and it's all mine, mine mine.

[evil laugh]

I've been experimenting with cooking an egg inside a somewhat hollowed-out avocado. Yum! And Trader Joe's has a new jam, Bacon Jam, which is divine on toast. Love it!

No yolking, this is pretty good.... Hello to anyone who happens to find this thread....

Re: What's on your plate?

Yum! This looks delish, and I don't even like avocados!

( Darn it! Forgot to check that jam out. Again. Le grrr! )

Re: What's on your plate?

Yum to the avocado! How do you cook it? Wait, bacon jam? What? How?

Re: What's on your plate?

@e4stofthesun, preheat oven to 425 degrees. Hollow out a large avocado. Carefully place egg inside. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes.

Re: What's on your plate?

Drunken pork ribs ( fall-of-the-bone yumminess! ( And hubby's fave. ) ), and pastaless "pasta" salad ( also amazingly yummy ). Smiley Wink

Re: What's on your plate?

What a nice presentation! The "pasta" salad looks very satisfying for our warmer weather. But the ribs.... they look superbly delicious! I think I'll be making some ribs soon too!
