Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
@Ispend2much6 This plate of treats looks so yummy and festive. Does anyone else enjoy a baked good with a coffee or tea?
@Mellmars1185 I do, especially tea. The one exception is biscotti- I like that with coffee. Everyone in the house just likes to eat sweets, period. 🙂 How about you?
@Ispend2much6 Coffee and or tea with sweets and especially sweets after dinner. I like all of the things.
That is a delicious looking dessert board @Ispend2much6! That would not last in my home…
@JoSometimes Thank you. When my guys were little, it wouldn't have lasted two weeks. Ah, to have that fast metabolism...
@Ispend2much6 it is the time of year to indulge; enjoy!
@CorgiMommy It certainly has been! I hope you enjoyed yours.
Very reasonable @Ispend2much6 it is the holidays after all 🧁😉. This platter of sweets looks delicious!
@SportyGirly125 I hope that's a "yes" to my question!😉
Getting ready for NYE. We have a tradition of making hors d'oeuvres and playing games and watching movies that night.
This is the first year of making homemade tortilla chips (baked) with sprouted corn tortillas. If you can get these, I really recommend them. They are sweeter and even more tasty than organic corn tortillas (and easier to digest.) I think there will be a few leftover for Sunday. 😆
@Ispend2much6 I have not seen these before. I bet they are tasty. Do you eat them with salsa?
@Mellmars1185 I got them at Whole Foods, but I'd be willing to bet other natural food stores would have them. Our tradition is making the Velveeta and Rotel queso dip that's on the back of one of the packages. Just melt Velveeta and canned tomatoes with chiles together.
@Ispend2much6 That sounds amazing. Thank you for sharing that special recipe 😊
Amazingly simple @JoSometimes . I used rice bran oil to brush the tortillas before baking at 375. That's it!
@blackkitty2014 Thank you! I'm trying to pretend they're not sitting in a bag, ready to eat, right now. 🙂 Whole Foods is where I got the sprouted corn tortillas. I'm kind of glad it's a 45 minute drive for me, so I won't be tempted to run up for more.
Sweeter tortillas sounds very yummy @Ispend2much6. Yum! What are you having with your homemade chips?
