What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

That looks yummy @JoSometimes

Re: What's on your plate?

Thank you @AznAngelLiz! It was simple but delicious and definitely necessary that day.

Re: What's on your plate?

That looks auh-mazing @JoSometimes

I really want to try that!

Re: What's on your plate?

Thanks @CynthieLu and @itsfi! It’s nothing fancy. Ramen noodles (though udon is usually easier to find, even spaghetti could work in a pinch), protein (I used ground beef this time), and whatever veggies (carrots, peppers, onions, and cherry tomatos). I’ve made the sauce from scratch before and it’s not hard, but it’s way quicker to just buy it pre-made. It’s easy to find in Asian grocery stores if there’s one near you but you can sometimes find it in the international foods aisle at North American supermarkets.

Re: What's on your plate?

Warm and hearty sounds delish @JoSometimes. Japanese curry? Yum!! 😋

Re: What's on your plate?

@daniella846 I am a big fan of all salad. Did you use a dressing?

Re: What's on your plate?

@daniella846, I love how a veggie salad can be a main or side dish! 🥗 Do you have any favorite veggies you like to include in your salads?

Re: What's on your plate?

@daniella846

Fresh and yummy I hope! 😀

Re: What's on your plate?

Making some smores in the air fryer 🐻💗

Used Celebration Cookies (they have the choclate and graham-ish cookie-ness) and marshmallows 😄

Yum!

Re: What's on your plate?

Yay for these, @CynthieLu !

Re: What's on your plate?

They look good and taste good @tsavorite 😉

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh my goodness, yum! @CynthieLu

Re: What's on your plate?

Ooooh I didn't even think use the air fryer for s'mores @CynthieLu. Yummy!

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu that was a good idea to use those cookies!

Re: What's on your plate?

Someone had posted using these cookies in an air fryer group I follow and I though it was a good idea too ‌😊@CookieGirl1 They taste pretty nice warm and melty 🩷

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh my goodness @CynthieLu! These look so tasty! 😋 Never thought of making s’mores in the air fryer but now I feel like I have to at least try it once … or twice … or to try to perfect it. Guess it means I have to be eating a lot of s’mores. 😂

Re: What's on your plate?

Lol, if you go for it, just melt the chocolate a bit first so the marshmellows will stick 🍫. We have a bit of a sweet tooth over here. These were a hit @itsfi 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

Love it @CynthieLu! Those celebration cookies are such a great s’mores hack.

Re: What's on your plate?

They are, you just melt them a bit first so the marshmallows stick and don't go flying around in the air fryer 🙂 and voila! @JoSometimes

Re: What's on your plate?

I’m guessing you speak from experience @CynthieLu. I would have missed that completely and come back to a mess of melted chocolate and marshmallows!

I’m starting to miss having an air fryer. I received one as a gift, but it was recalled for being a fire hazard. I didn’t use it often, so I sent it back for store credit and never bothered replacing it. Now I keep seeing all kinds of air fryer recipes on social media that I want to try!

Re: What's on your plate?

The moving melting marshmallows were worth mentioning 😋 my style of air fryer sends them a flying lol @JoSometimes

I do prefer my oven and stove top, but it can be quite convenient sometimes 😀
