What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Last night's dinner, courtesy of my wonderful mom: Southwest scramble and fresh sliced oranges. Delicious!

Re: What's on your plate?

Your mom makes lovely looking dinners @caitbird 👌This looks good!

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu  Thank you! She is an amazing cook, we are very lucky!

Re: What's on your plate?

You can tell she puts love into her dishes for you and your family @caitbird 💜 Do you have a favorite meal she makes?

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu  ooh, that's tough, she makes so many good things! I will say, she makes amazing pizza - it's so much better than the kind you can get for takeout, with loads of veggies and sometimes even homemade pesto sauce. She makes a lasagna every Christmas that is out of this world delicious, too.

Re: What's on your plate?

@caitbird  Yummy and healthy!!

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6  best of both worlds!

Re: What's on your plate?

That looks tasty @caitbird

Re: What's on your plate?

@CorgiMommy  thank you! It really was!

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLuYum!  Which cheeses do you think work the best in this bread?

Re: What's on your plate?

We really like old white cheddar @Ispend2much6 it's got such good flavour. But it's great with almost anything. 😉What would you pick?

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu  Sounds great!  I think I would pick this cheese that's part parmesan and part cheddar.  I've seen it at Aldi and Trader Joe's.  And garlic. 🙂

Re: What's on your plate?

Yum!! Parmesan has such a good bold flavor, that all sounds great @Ispend2much6. I wanted to try adding seasoning like garlic etc... but I haven't yet.  But I think I will eventually 😀

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu  ooh, that looks sooo good! I love cheese and I love bread lol, so cheesy bread sounds like heaven!

Re: What's on your plate?

Two good things rolled into one 😍 @caitbird

Re: What's on your plate?

I'm currently on a bit of a diet, so I try to eat often, but in small portions and, most importantly, not high-calorie foods. I used to be able to eat junk food quite easily and considered it normal. But after the information about what is the worst fast food restaurant, I realized that my body should only get the good and necessary elements, and I can limit myself from junk food.

Re: What's on your plate?

Good luck! 💚 @kate0grey I think that sounds like a really reasonable approach to dieting. You got this!

Re: What's on your plate?

I’m trying a new health drink. This is palatable- it tastes like watered down juice. No weird aftertaste or bitterness. Of course it’s good- it’s made from the cacao pod after the beans are removed to make one of the most important food groups- chocolate. 😉
