Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? ๐
@CynthieLu I trust your recommendations! The cherry chai does look pretty. Iโm wondering about the blackberry sage. Have you tried that one?
I have, all the refreshers can be built with water, lemonade or coconut milk. I liked this one with lemonade or coconut milk. I thought it was a more subtle flavour than the other refreshers imo. (But my favorite is the Dragon Fruit refresher ๐ ๐ซ) Do you like any of them? @Ispend2much6
They are nice and fruity with a little caffeine. ๐ The coconut milk versions recommend me of something I might love to sip at the beach. Let me know if you ever give one a go and what you think of it. @Ispend2much6
@CynthieLu Iโm kind of addicted to the oat milk cortado. I order it without the syrup. It packs a punch without having to have a huge drink. 3 shots of blonde espresso! Yum!
I haven't tried that bevie yet @Ispend2much6 it's good?? I like the sound of it packs a punch ngl. ๐
Looks good @Samtian. We have a little market just outside of our neighborhood that sells the best ice cream Iโve ever had. Fortunately Iโm too embarrassed to go there to get some on a regular basis.๐
I had udon noodles in the freezer that were developing frostbite, a bag of coleslaw mix past date, chopped ginger in the freezer drying out, and tofu. So I mixed them all together with garlic, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil to make stirfry. It was pretty good; I would add some salt or more soy sauce and a TB or 2 of brown sugar.
@Ispend2much6 Very creative! Best of all, there was no wasting food in the making of this meal ๐
I made a cake using Bobโs Red Mill yellow cake mix.
Their baking mixes are fantastic! The cake mixes only need egg, water, and oil. They are a dense cake, so maybe subbing butter would make them lighter?
The brownie mix is very good also, better than other mixes Iโve used. And the cornbread mix is absolutely the best!
I thought Iโd mention Bon Cook/Flexipan silicone baking pans and trays. Everything J bake in those comes out moister than with any other pan. Plus the clean up is easy.
Williams-Sonoma has some on sale now.
Homemade icing- wasnโt aiming for beauty here!
โ
@Ispend2much6 Yummy! I have only tried Betty Crocker cake mixes. If I see this brand, I will try it out!
That's good to know @Ispend2much6. and it looks good too. ๐ I'm going too keep an eye out for these mixes here.
