Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
@SportyGirly125 I've never had Bolo bread but it looks delicious.
@CookieGirl1 @My uncle always brings baked goods my Aunt makes when it’s haircut day. My kids love it.
@SportyGirly125 that's so sweet of them! And yeah, I bet it's a big hit with the kiddos 🙂
Both of those look so delicious! Does your aunt run a bakery @SportyGirly125?
@JoSometimes @Nope. She loves baking and she makes her own jewelry and charms out of crystal beads.
Wow! Those look like they should be in the display case at a bakery. You have a very talented family @SportyGirly125!
@SportyGirly125 Mmm delicious 😋. Notbing like home baked treats.
Lucky me, I was at an event with catered lunches. 🤩 I love food I don't have to make myself. 😉
This was a homemade cheese tortellini and pasta salad. Roasted zucchini and some assorted pickled veggies and cheeses. I did it, I doubled up on my carbs. It was definitely worth it!
@CynthieLu That dish looks tasty and fresh. My kind of meal. I like to try a little of everything!
I like that thinking @Mellmars1185. Then you don't have just choose one, you can't just try a bit of it all. 😄 🍽
I had a bag of Lay’s potato chips yesterday but a flavour from China. It was sesame hot pot flavour and tasted just like the sesame sauce that comes with hot pot. And then I was watching some Korean reality TV today and there was one scene where they went out for hot pot. I started craving some, so I made some!
The broth was a pinch-of-this-dash-of-that kind of deal, but it consisted of chicken broth, sesame sauce, black bean sauce, and oyster sauce. I tossed in some udon noodles, fish balls, bok choy, and Chinese sausage. I pan fried the sausage first to render out some of the fat. Best of all, dinner served in 20 minutes!
@JoSometimes This dish looks so fresh and tasty. I do love the flavour of sesame oil. The noodles look fantastic for slurping the delicious broth.
