What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface I could have lettuce wrapped it too. So many ways to eat it. My husband stared at me as I kept putting more guacamole on.

Re: What's on your plate?

That's a glorious burger, @SportyGirly125 ! As for a lil' extra guac., chips to the rescue! ie, "Red Hot Blues"

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125   I agree; you need more! 😂

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 Haha. 😂

Re: What's on your plate?

Oysters and tuna tartar :). I didn’t remember to take a photo til after they were gone, but they were eaten with a red wine vinegar, agave and finely chopped onion.

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface Wow this looks so fancy. I never had oysters.

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125  Oh really?  Next time you’re in a port city you ought to try them!   Ha, they do have a reputation for being fancy but it’s cheaper to buy them at a fish market and shuck them yourself which is what we did. Fancy at home 🙂

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface @My husband has had oysters but I have only eaten clams.

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125  I don’t think I’ve had clams outside soups and chowders.  How have you eaten them?

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface My grandma used to cook and season them still in the shell. We would just have to get a fork and take them out and chew them. I use to eat them a lot until one day I saw little eyes and couldn’t bear to eat them anymore.

Not quite clams but I thought of this immediately!

Found him!  We were out at a fancy restaurant in Japan and this little dude was staring at me on my plate and I couldn’t 🤣.  He had a photoshoot instead.  We’re so not fancy so he got a name a squeaky voice and an honorary place on the knife rest.

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface this is hilarious, omg 😂😂😂

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface Omg yes these pictures exactly describe why I can’t eat clams and things that have eyeballs staring at me like shrimp.

I told my little cousin about shrimp having poop still on them when we eat them at Asian restaurants and now he can’t eat them anymore.

Re: What's on your plate?

What a lovely thought to have at mealtime, @SportyGirly125. All sarcasm aside- this is news to me. Eeek! Prawns & shrimps never really appealed to me even before I read your post. So thanks for the intel

Re: What's on your plate?

@MvLL It's not all the time they have poop on them but still you would think they would take it off.

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125. Yes, we anticipate good standards and care in a kitchen. Yet the old saying, "You eat a pound of dirt before you die" comes to mind.

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125 😂😂😂

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh my goodness @heartsmyface @this is such a teaser. We forgive you for not taking us with you 😂🤣👍

Re: What's on your plate?

@blackkitty2014   Ha it was at home but you’re always invited 😉

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface you know how to treat yourself well 🦪🍷

Re: What's on your plate?

@Skunk12puzzola  Ha sometimes:). and you’re very right that they were paired with champagne.  Cause it’s basically illegal to eat oysters without bubbly;)
