Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
Oh my goodness. Your family is so lucky @Ispend2much6 . Yum yum yum.
@blackkitty2014 As is yours! Honestly, a thick soup is the best way to get lots of veggies into my family. They would be happy surviving off of sandwiches and spaghetti without me. lol
Tonight I made Basil Chicken
Oh my goodness looks so tasty. I’m so behind on this thread @Ispend2much6
Tonight on the menu was a Roasted Cauliflower and Orzo Salad. I finally remembered to Take some pictures! And some leftover chicken breasts for people in my family who won't eat anything without a meat.
Ooo thx you for posting this @Mellmars1185 . I will copy this 😘
@blackkitty2014 It is also from the first Chrissy Teigan Cookbook!
Tonight my fiance made a home made mac and cheese with a panko bread crumb topping. It was really good and it gave me a chance to paint my nails!
Ooh your fiancé is definitely a keeper @Mellmars1185 😘
@Mellmars1185 It's the season for homemade mac n cheese. I've been thinking about it too often!
Tonight for dinner we had chicken fajitas made with chicken thighs. They were good. Forgot to take a picture again!
Ooo sounds good. Did you have to de-bone @Mellmars1185 before putting the meat on the skillet 🍳?
@blackkitty2014 Fortunately I didn't have to debone. We buy the meat in bulk so it is cheaper and then freeze it!
@Mellmars1185 For a very long time that was my favorite meal to get when eating out. Yum!
I suppose I should have put this into a majolica serving bowl to make it look authentic @blackkitty2014 always has such pretty looking pictures, but once again I'm feeling lazy.
I saw the prettiest box of mixed baby greens with baby kale, so I bought it for dinner. I "massaged" the leaves with olive oil to make the kale more tender (maybe that was unnecessary as it's baby kale.) Added some balsamic, salt and pepper, and chunks of fresh orange. Hubby liked it.
I was wondering what the orange was, @Ispend2much6. I thought maybe roasted butternut squash but oranges sound much cheerier!
@eshoe. I forgot to mention I also put shaved carrots in it. Because no one likes carrots with beards ha ha.
That took me a good couple of reads, @Ispend2much6, but it was worth it😂
