What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

@Sunnysmom   Will it surprise you that I have made these skewers a few times, but yours are pretty and I was unhealthy and added salami. 😂  Do you all have Wegman's?  They have the best assortment of imported cheeses and charcuterie.  I'm going to regret finding that out, I think.

Also, twinning with you again, I just bought those Levain cookies from Whole Foods on Tuesday.  My one son raved about them ever since his trip to NYC, and I wanted to surprise him.  He thought they were okay, but not what he remembered.  He said the Pret a Manger recipe at home is better.  I do want to try the chocolate Levain ones though; someone reviewed them and was disappointed because they had a "puddle of chocolate" in the middle- I say great!

That’s too funny @Ispend2much6 . Salami would make a delicious addition!  I struggled to put mine on the plate so people could grab them easier on ends without touching the food. Didn’t look too great! 😖 There were some vegetarians there so I didn’t think to do that  for half, I could have. We don’t have Wegman’s tho we have Bristol Farms which is heaven! Why are grocery stores so fun.😬

I did get the double chocolate too but haven’t heated them up yet! Agree, how can a gooey chocolate center ever be a bad thing?! Nope.

@blackkitty2014, you need to practice your piping??? 🤔 Are we looking at the same cupcakes?! Because the piping looks beautiful as is! 😍 But if you think it needs work, I would be happy to take off your hands any of the ones that don’t measure up to your liking. 😉

@blackkitty2014  Umm, no you don't, they are beautiful!  Did you get the plums from your back yard?  When is the best time to buy those in the store?  I just bought some but I think they were picked too soon or something because they didn't have much flavor.

@Ispend2much6 Yes these are home grown. These are Santa Rosa so they’re ripping around this time of the year.

Almond Flour cookies with chocolate chips. I love that it is requires no butter and sugar.
