What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6  We used to scrape vanilla pods to use the seeds in different recopies, then take thé spent pods and either pop them in a vodka bottle to make vanilla extract or just pop the whole pod into canisters of sugar, no food processor necessary, and no sifting,  if you’re looking to save a step at all. I rarely go through as much since I don’t run a shop anymore but I still use these methods at home too.
I love that you make vanilla sugar😁 so many people don’t take that extra step that gives recopies a bit of something more.

Re: What's on your plate?

That's good to know, thanks!  I agree that it adds something special to recipes. @missjeanie

Re: What's on your plate?

Butternut squash is in season and on sale, so I tried a new stew recipe: Chicken, Apple, and Butternut Squash Stew from the site My Recipes.

It's not pizza, but it's pretty good. 😉  I roasted the butternut squash seeds too, and some I had from using delicata squash.  They are delicious and much easier to eat than pumpkin seeds.

I love butternut squash, @Ispend2much6 and that looks delicious.

Re: What's on your plate?

@CookieGirl1   Thank you!  It's definitely a "fall" recipe, with the squash and apples.

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 Oh that looks so YUMMY!!

Re: What's on your plate?

@NinaNee   Thank you!  It's definitely different from the typical recipes I make.  For one, it's healthy. lol

Re: What's on your plate?

@itsfi  Don't forget the brownies...

Re: What's on your plate?

Of course the brownies too. Nom, nom, nom. 😋 I wouldn’t want to be rude and not take any @Ispend2much6. 😂

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125   Thanks!  I'm glad to have found something my family likes that I can eat.  They really like heavy food. lol

@SportyGirly125 Yes I love this dish too! I've tried different lettuces but always come back to romaine since this is the one my mom always use for us to eat with.
