What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

Mmmmm! Pulled pork and sweet potato! Did you season the sweet potato up any or just a bit of oil and salt and into the oven?

Re: What's on your plate?

Just oil, and into the oven! I save my salt for the inside 🙂

Re: What's on your plate?

I had a double helping of sweet potato fries back to back for dinner last week (with a burger)....mmmmmmm

Re: What's on your plate?

I love sweet potato fries.

Re: What's on your plate?

Me too! They were rosemary and olive oil rubbed ones.*drrrrroooooooool*

Re: What's on your plate?

Rosemary always wins!

Re: What's on your plate?

Looks yummy.

Re: What's on your plate?

My kind of dinner.

Re: What's on your plate?

I'm baking some chip encrusted chicken pieces tonight. I have some maple bacon chips left that I think I'll add to the chip crumbles....I have been on these chips for weeks now...sooooo good!

Re: What's on your plate?

I'm putting on my shoes.  Where is this chicken happening??

Re: What's on your plate?

It happened, I made the nuggets last night with some rosemary potato wedges.

Re: What's on your plate?

Hi, guys! Long time no see. 😉

Stopping by to share this wonderful, quick and easy snack, dessert, call it whatever you want... I call it "f#$%^ delish"!

All you need is some plain yogurt, nut butter ( I used almond butter ), berries, honey, and a splash of vanilla ( optional ).

Stir it all up, and dig in! YUMM!

It doesn't sound like it, but it really is surprisingly mucho yummo.

Re: What's on your plate?

I like the sound of all those ingredients separate, so WHY NOT throw them all together???

I don't even think I'd get to stirring it up, hahaha, just throw all in a bowl and chow down!

Re: What's on your plate?

I must confess to PSL sins.

Target had little chocolate things and I had to research for science.

  1. While the solid chocolate candy Elmer's makes at Valentines is ok, do not eat the Elmers PSL bonbons. Not worth the calories
  2. Russel Stover PSL this was ok but really sweet like a white chocolate
  3. Hershey Candy Corn Bar. Just don't. This is white chocolate that is sweeter than white chocolate and only faintly tastes of candy corn. Which I have lost my taste for apparently.
  4. Lessons learned, the last two together made me so nauseous I wanted to rainbow for three hours. Too much cheap sugar.

Re: What's on your plate?

I think you've scienced quite well. Kudos. 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

Let me preface this by saying that this is a big thing for me because I cannot cook to save my life.  I attempted to make salmon teriyaki today (I know it is a very simple dish) but I feel quite accomplished and it tasted pretty good.

Re: What's on your plate?

It looks wonderful! Just look at the sheen of that glaze!!! O_O

Re: What's on your plate?

I literally said to myself "teriyaki salmon" before I read it. Now I know what I want for dinner lol.
