What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

We're blabbing about everything else these days, I figured I'd check in and see what people are watching when it comes to TV shows and movies!

It would be foolish to think that this thread could remain spoiler free, so let's be courteous to one another and be sure to spoiler your spoilers. If you don't know how, it's that super adorable little yellow button on the toolbar, located to the right of the bold/italic/underline/strikeout buttons.

DONT FORGET: If you happen to be the most recent post, your first sentence or two of your post will show up EVEN IF ITS IN A SPOILER. So please take care if you're going to go dropping spoiler bombs.

Anywho... I just saw the movie PHOENIX last night and it was absolutely spectacular. Like Academy Award spectacular. If you're fortunate enough have showings in your area, I cannot urge you enough to go see it.

So whatcha'll watchin' these days? What are you anxiously waiting for to start back up?

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

The last movie I saw was Straight Outta Compton. Really entertaining! I was surprised at how good it was.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

After hearing all the hoopla about Empire, I started watching yesterday. Halfway through the first episode, I was starting to understand why people like it so much.  Been having a little marathon all day.  It got interrupted when hubs and I watched Episode 3 of John Adams.  Watching Veep, too, when we need a little lightheartedness.

Looking forward to many shows, but mostly Walking Dead, then Ash vs. Evil Dead.  Smiley Very Happy  Luv my zombies!

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

My bf and I have been hooked on empire since it started airing. New season should be starting soon.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

Just finished it!  LOL

Looking forward to the new season.  Smiley Happy

I am watching the Hotwives of Orlando and Las Vegas. They are both parodies of the Real Housewives franchise with the same actresses on both shows playing different characters. It is HILARIOUS. On Hulu.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

Loved the Orlando one.  Still warming up to Las Vegas, but it's promising.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

The wicken (dont think i spelled that right) girl is so funny. O and the trashy pregnant one. I die.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

I just finished Orlando yesterday and thought it was hysterical. I love love love Casey Wilson and hate that her shows keep getting cancelled (Happy Endings/Marry Me).

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

I'm more of a binge watcher with TV. I just finished 3 seasons of Vikings and holy heck it totally trumps Game of Thrones. And complete opposite end of the spectrum I just watched 5 seasons of Downton Abbey. I'm thinking NEED to be Mary Crowley for Halloween. I love The Walking Dead and just watched the premiere of its spin off and I have high hopes these characters can make the impact the original series does.

My my sister got me started on Girls and I'm barely hanging on. I wanna reach through my tv and slap Hannah. Mostly because she reminds me of my college roommate.

Anyone else missing Walter and Jessie? BB had great writing and character development.

As as far as movies. I recently saw Straight Outta Compton. This is my era and genre of my early teens so it was a bit nostalgic. The movie if you aren't really a fan would just be so so.

Also, watched Southpaw last weekend and Rachel McAdams is the bees knees. It's a heart warming feel good story with lots of sads.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

I'm so ready for Downton Abbey Season 6- but I didn't catch up all the way to Season 5, so I'm kind of glad it doesn't start until January since I need time!!!

You should TOTALLY be Mary Crowley for Halloween. That would be AWESOME!!!

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

Boyfriend and I are in the process of watching LOST. He's never seen it and I've seen all but the last handful of episodes. But ever since we got into season 4 (and are now in season 5), I don't remember sh!t, so I was clearly checked out at this point, and I can completely understand why. It's horrible. I can't wait for it to be over.

I'm waiting for VEEP, Homeland (begrudgingly), House of Cards (seems like forever ago), Blackish (funniest network show?) and hopefully a second season of Broadchurch pops up on Netflix. Less anxious for Last Man on Earth, How To Get Away With Murder and Modern Family.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

VEEP is so good. So good. Season 1 is on Amazon Prime I think. What you need to do is "borrow" someone's HBOgo password. Thanks mom and dad Smiley Happy

I finished watching LOST a few years ago out of obligation. I was so far in I just wanted to finish it. I should have stopped. Not worth it and so many story lines just dropped off. Like the writers didn't know how to deal with the story so just pretended it never happened. Not cool.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

We have HBOgo! (Or should I say the password of someone who has HBOgo Smiley Happy) I love how the show is immediately funny. Most shows take a couple episodes to get going, but why would you expect anything less from JLD?

Plus, she reminds me so much of my former boss, another coworker and I were talking about the similarities one day and laughing hysterically.

The deposition episode was absolutely hysterical. It really seems like they really only outlined the episode and much of it was ad libbed.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

Regarding Lost, I completely agree with being checked out during that part of the show. And I beg of you, just stop now. I've never been more angry and the end of a show in my life. Just leave now, run. Don't look back!  Imagine it the way you want it to be. I will say no more.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

Ugh, Lost became such a ridiculous show. I've still never seen the very last episode. I just don't care.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

Good for you. You're better off where you are.  I quit watching when a certain character died (no spoilers) and I nearly cried. Then my friend swore it got better, told me to catch up and I'm still mad at her LOL Smiley Very Happy  My husband refused to start watching it again with me. When it ended and I told him everything, he was like, I told you so.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

Is House of Cards really that good?  So many ppl watch it but I haven't started.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

I enjoy it... or maybe enjoy is the wrong word. It's pretty flipping depressing, particularly in the sense that it is probably scarily realistic.

Plus, Robin Wright is fantastic, and she has a killer wardrobe haha.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

I will have to start and see how it goes.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

I got lost on Lost. Turned awful really quick.

Re: What are you watching? (Don't be a spoil sport - spoiler your spoilers)

It's an absolute sh!tshow. I wish my boyfriend would just give up on it and let us move on.
