So it looks like unicorn mail is taking over the Party Thread.  A while back @Mcakes suggested to me that it should have it's own thread. I also saw a few people mention it too since then.  Well I think it's time because the love is overflowing and everyone likes to see an unboxing! I know it's one of my favorite parts of BT.

Unicorn Mail: A random act of kindness. Essentially a gift/token of appreciation/pick me up/treat received from a fellow member of the community.

@WhereYouStand You can participate in gift exchanges and get people's addresses that way or you can ask people for their address and send them unicorn mail.

Yes and no. It’s not something to join. You simply become friends with other members in the community and voila. Obviously there is a level of trust acquired. At BIC we usually have gift exchanges a few times/year (Halloween, Christmas, Valentines) those are open to all members provided they meet the eligible posting criteria. From there, you have addresses and can do exchanges.

What is the criteria that has to be met? This sounds like such a fun cool concept!!

@Mallerlyn It usually involves some combination of rank, post/heart counts, and participation in previous exchanges or trades. There's a lot of trust involved in sharing personal information so it's important to have this type of criteria set up.
