@willa25. This is going to be so interesting! I'll have to think about this because I always mix up the Greek and Roman gods, and Marvel and DC heroes. Your students should really love this and I'm going to channel my inner Sheldon Cooper to try to give an "intelligent " answer!

@willa25  My boys would have loved to have you as a history teacher!!  If you wanted to give the kids a chance for extra credit, as not everyone will be familiar with this, you could have the kids write a short essay on a video game or movie that has similar themes to the Greek mythology.  Even show clips in class to illustrate your lesson- how's that for getting their attention?  Hellooo, Thor!

I know this is only two lessons, but as a refresher or study guide, because the names can kind of get confusing, what about having a word search made using the Greek names?  Or, a riddle worksheet of "Who Am I?"  that gives hints, and possibly the name of the character with some of the letters missing, as in "T_o_."

A word search or a riddle worksheet sounds fabulous and fun.  And part of me wonders if you were to do that whether we might be able to see the word search / riddle worksheet as well and learn along with your students.  🙂

You are inspired!  I think that your students will absolutely love this! 

What a way to make Greek mythology less intimidating!

@willa25 I love this idea! Wonder Woman as Diana/Artemis is a great tie in. You could also bring Medusa into the fold because in the DC Universe, her sisters were being held prisoner on Themyscira. She’s a minor character in DC but I’ve always loved her mythology. 

Can’t wait to hear all about this! I wish you had been my teacher ❤️
