Hello BIC beauties! 😊 I realized we don't have an active music thread here in BIC (there seem to be a few different short-lived threads from years past, but nothing recent as far as I could find), and I thought it would be fun to have a place to recommend our favorite artists and songs, chat about what we've been listening to lately, post our song of the day or anything else music related! Everyone is welcome to join in however you like, however often you like, and all types of music are welcome! 💜

My parents have gone to see Eilen Jewell live at least 7 or 8 times (I've lost count by this point, and so have they), most recently a week ago for my dad's birthday. Apparently she does this song every time. It's a good one!

I listen to a lot of traditional folk music, and today I've been listening to a bunch of Archie Fisher, among other artists. So today's song of the day is:

Archie Fisher - The Witch of the West-Mer-Lands

Kate Rusby does a lovely version of this song as well, and so does the great Stan Rogers (both as "The Witch of the Westmorland")

I've been meaning to post, I've been listening to Subways of Your Mind by FEX, the most mysterious song on the internet, along with the three other songs posted on YT.  It was finally solved earlier this month.  I like Talking Hands even better.

@Samtian @makeitup305  oh I love Hozier! I remember discovering him years ago and raving to my best friend about his music and she was like "oh yeah Hozier, I like him" and I was like "WHAT you mean you've been listening to this and DIDN't TELL ME?!" lol 🤣
