What does everyone think of the Royal Wedding?

I didn't watch the wedding, but Kate always looks so pretty and put together!  I wish that I could be that way!  😛

Local channels are actually STILL repeating the full wedding---I'm watching them take their vows...again, right now. Its on CNN. But I dont know what time zone you're in. Piers Morgan is "hosting" it.

That's no surpirse-it is a big deal! Especially in Europe and Canada, since we may be ruled by them one day. 🙂

Man, that Middleton has got balls and nerves of steel. I'd love for her to do my makeup on my wedding day.

@officegal: Agreed! She always looks so at ease and poised, even when she has a million cameras in her face. I don't know how she does it! Plus, I love her hair.

I love her hair too! She's one of the only *celebrities* that goes natural. No coloring, highlights, nothing. Like me 😄

@katie - I know, right?? The woman knows what she's doing. She ain't no Diana and I like it! (No offence to the Diana lovers but I JUST found out that Diana was only 19 when she married Charles. No wonder she suffered so.)

I liked it.  Didn't watch the whole thing but saw most of it.  I doubt she did her own make up. I didn't do my own make up and I had a history of having my picture taken professionally and she's a princess who was going to be televised.  Also, as far as the money, it's not like over here, a president's daughter, a democracy,  they are a monarchy,  and this is the man who will be King of their Country.  I bet no one there is complaining.

My favorite part was them leaving the Palace in the convertible.  So modern and individualistic.  And his friends decorating it.  With the "Learners"  "L" on the front. So cool. -- non stuffy.

Actually, katimae, she DID do her own makeup. She told others she did and her mom siad she did her own makeup too. I know it's surprising she did, since she did a really good job, but she did. 🙂

I hope their life is as *normal* as possible. Looks like they are going to be living in some Ranch Mansion William's dad gave them as a wedding gift thats far away from London. Will's a pilot--how hot is that?

I really thought it was nice. I thought Kate looked GORGEOUS in her dress-I loved the lace sleeves{that's gonna be a big trend now} 🙂 I really liked Williams red suit too. I know it's a royal wedding, and this was to be expected to happen, but I always get bored with all the singing and talking... and walking! 🙂 The abby is HUGE! But I diid enjoy it, and I couldn't believe that Kate did her own makeup too-but she did a really good job 🙂

Overall, I did really enjoy it 🙂

I thought it was beautiful. A royal wedding isn't an event that happens just all the time, and they really did it up right. Kate was beautiful; she did an amazing job with her makeup. She really is Queen material 🙂

I loved it!  I always cry at weddings, even televised weddings across the ocean! The elegance and beauty of the royal couple, combined with the grace of that wedding, WOW!

The cost, well, any high profile event costs a fortune in security, and anything royal, they just wouldn't want to look like they skimped. 65 million does seem like a lot of money, but I think if you asked the average citizen, they would proudly uphold the tradition. (Just my opinion, based on asking some British friends, they were pretty fierce about it, they said how often does a popular royal get married, anyways)?

I loved it! I thought it was so sweet and romantic! Plus, I thought Kate Middleton looked BEYOND STUNNING! A true classy princess.

I heard that she did her own makeup for the wedding. It looked amazing. I wonder if this rumor is true or not. Anyone know?

I have no idea! She seems like a simple person so she might have, although I dont think her team of people would allow it. ( But you never know!) Does anyone know why her and William have the title "Dutchess" instead of Prince and Princess? I watched it twice, and thought it was cool that they had the same wedding that Princess Diana had ( hope they have a better marriage though!). She is so beautiful, but she was a lot prettier when her face was filled in. She lost a LOT of weight. And I'm very proud of the British Paparazzi...they seem to get their picture, then back off...they dont hassle her as much as they did Princess Diana.

One thing I didnt like though...65 million dollars for the wedding?!? Most of the people of England are working class people who dont have a lot of money, so taxing them so much every year so that the royals can have a great life always kinda bothered me...thoughts?
