Here are are my fluff babies DJ and Gunner (also called Lulu or Lou). They are mother and daughter. DJ is my baby and Gunner is a daddy's girl. They are approximately 9 years old and very spoiled!

This is DJ. She loves to be near me.

@teufel❤️ Glad you brought her home. It amazes me how long it takes for some wonderful little creatures to find homes and how people could ever dump them. My little guy, Boseph, was found roaming the Texas desert. No idea his life before then (he was 2-4 years old when he moved in with me). He is so sweet and has never had any "undesirable" behaviors. I think people like us just get very lucky to have found them.

I don't have any pictures on my phone, but I wanted to share a story of the last days before my dog passed away. My dog was a mutt found as a puppy inside the driveway of my house after a big hurricane had passed. He lived for 16 years. When my brother bought a husky, his dog would play rough with me. Once, my brother's dog bit me playing around and my dog saw it. My dog put all his energy in barking at my brother's dog as a way of defending me. After that day, my dog stayed in front of the door of the house. Every time a member of my household would leave or arrive to the house, my dog would excort us, making sure to protect us from my brother's dog. I wanted to share my story, because out of anyone I know, no one has ever protected or defended me from another person. As human beings, we meet people who act like one would think animals should and this animal was more humane than my own friends or family. He protected me, defended me, never tried to control me, never went above me head or stabled me in the back which is more than I can say about anyone else I have ever met.
