Health and Sanity Check-Ins

Things are crazy now. I think we are all trying to stay healthy and maintain sanity as well. I thought I would start this thread so folks can check in and discuss how they're doing. I want all my BIC friends to be okay. I will kick this off with a first post. Take care of yourself lovelies.

I know I've posted about my younger son here before. More detail is that he has an autoimmune disease that attacks his bone marrow. So all of his blood counts are low. He's on an oral immunosuppressant to keep his blood cells at an ok range, and another intravenous immunosuppressant every two weeks to keep his immune system from destroying the red blood cells he manages to make (I.e., hemolysis). When I take him for his infusions he goes to a pediatric oncology office, and he's the healthiest kid there, because all of the other kids are getting their chemo. I've lived in fear of infecting the kids undergoing chemo for 7 years. The current coronavirus doesn't make me more exhausted, I'm just still exhausted. On the plus side, I've been bleaching my entire house and over-washing my hands for 7 years, so everything is clean.

Thanks, @Luvstravel! 💓 It's actually a lot less dramatic living it than it sounds talking about it (well, except the first two months). The last visit was the most stressed out I've ever seen his doctors, and we've been going there a long time.
