Happy New Years! What are your resolutions for 2025? 🎇🎆

Happy New Years everyone! 🥳 🥂

With 2024 is coming to a close I wonder what everyone has on thier resolution list for 2025?

I think every year being more active is on my to do list, but this year I want to set some real goals and maybe get some inspiration and input for everyone here on BIC. Maybe writing it down will help us stay on track. 😉

What are you hoping to accomplish in 2025? Do you set resolutions for yourself, what have you been thinking? 🤔💕

So I came up with a few new resolutions ideas for this year,

• Finish two books I've been reading 📚 
• Exercise 3 times a week
• Learn something new 😀

But I might add to this list, it's not finished yet. 

 

Tagging a few community members to chime maybe with some of thier resolution ideas for 2025 but anyone is welcome to share and contribute in any way they like.

I just realized there was a way to check spending like a week ago and oh my I was in shock! I think we need a 2024 - THE NO-BUY, LOW-BUY, BUDGET-BUY ACCOUNTABILITY AND SUPPORT THREAD 

2025! 

I think 

Offers are hard for me 

and new releases 

and restocks 

but sometimes I see an offer and just buy something to get it haha

Oooh I just looked at that page for spending. @peculiarzmakeup that was a shock. I have a weak spot for offers and new releases too. 🫣

Thanks for the tag, @CynthieLu !  I don't usually make resolutions.  However, I have a few things on my long-term to-do list that I've been working on:

- Drink 100 oz. of water each day*

- Include 1 Tbsp citric acid in 1 glass of water each day*

*urologist recommendation due to kidney stones

- Be more patient with the kitties when they're rambunctious; I can become easily overwhelmed by their enthusiasm 

- Declutter, declutter, declutter...even if it's one drawer/cabinet at a time

@Titian06 Great goals! I like your approach to decluttering. Sometimes it can be overwhelming. Tackling it in small batches sounds realistic and doable!

@Titian06  Yes to the water intake! That's a good tip on citric acid - my dad did this too when he had kidney stones and he said it helped! I'm so sorry though, kidney stones are not at all pleasant! (I don't know this from personal experience, just from watching what my dad went through)

Good luck with decluttering as well! I have so many things I don't need/use, but yet it's still so hard to get rid of them for some reason!

Thanks, @Shosh85 !  Good to know the citric acid works. 🍋  Most of what I have falls either in the sentimental category or the important papers category.  I need to determine if it "sparks joy" or do I need to keep it for a particular length of time or can I shred.  I hate thinking that hard! 😝

Thanks, @itsfi !  I try to think like that, but I like to jump in with both feet and get it all done at once.  That method isn't working because I have such a variety of things to go through. 😆

@Titian06 hope you kidney stones go away soon.  

Declutter is a great goal to have and one that can be accomplished small spurts.  I didn't have it as a resolution last year but I started slowly cleaning out closets, drawers,  etc. in 2024.  I will say it changed my life.  I am less stressed when I open my closets and being organized means less time looking for things (expect my keys, phone,  eyeglasses, still can never find them).

I need to take a page from your book and drink water throughout the day. It's such a simple thing, but it's so easy to skip.
