Guys and makeup

Hi lovely ladies, what are your thoughts on guys wearing makeup and guys trying on makeup at Sephora or other makeup counters? Would you ever consider asking if he would like any suggestions, or would you mind if they commented on what you had just put on?

My thoughts are, If you slaaaaay, you slaaay honey! The beauty of fashion and makeup is that you can express yourself and I don't think that is something exclusive for a specific gender. 🙂

i have no problem with it at all! i work at sephora and my male coworkers are some of my favs. we do get clients who refuse to be helped by them and it's so sad when they come to the break room and talk about it. or they will tell their kids not to talk to them. it is so sad.. i mean everyone is entitled to their own opinion but it's so heart wrenching to watch some people intentionally bring someone down for expressing themselves! good thread! ❤️

@Girly2Shoes I have no problem with men wearing makeup or trying it on in stores.  The first time I was made aware of this was in the 90s at Macy's Herald Square - it didn't bother me then and it doesn't bother me now.

My feeling is that people should be able to wear whatever they want regardless of their gender.
