I'll be sure to dig some photos out when I get home @greeneyedgirl107. We did turquoise at Royston Mine for our honeymoon and it closed the next year. Our most recent trip was Montana sapphires and opal in Idaho.

Here's a couple of geodes and giant crystals that I saw in Tucson. These are enormous, the tents are full size displays, not just a little 10 x 10.

How beautiful! Can you imagine trying to transport one of those?

@Samtian- Funny story about trying to transport one- A few years back, I actually saw someone purchase a big geode, the rock was about 6 feet tall and 3 feet wide. He was trying to get it in put the back seat of a rental car! The forklift driver was trying to maneuver the rock in without damaging the car, which wasn't happening and the owner was literally hopping up and down yelling "Don't scratch the car, it's a rental! I had to stop and watch this spectacle, it was too funny. Anyways, the car was only moderately dented and the geode did get put in the back seat. I have no idea how the owner was going to get it out when he got it home, the rock weighed several hundred pounds, no doubt.
