Look... the acting is awful, the storylines predictable and unrealistic. But will I watch them on a random weekend. Yes.

December 2: Favorite holiday desserts (candy, sweet treats, drinks, etc.)?

I always remember my mom doing baking and buying boxes of chocolates at Christmas time. Be it a treat for us in the evenings or for when family and friends were over. I've since gone on to study french pastries and run massive pastry shops. Still love the baking she would do when we were kids. Magic cookie squares, peanut butter cookies, rocky road fudge, coconut macaroons, and boxes of Pot of Gold Chocolates.

December 3: If you won $100 dollars, what beauty item would you run out and gift yourself?

Something that I wouldn't likely buy myself because I don't actually NEED anything... at the moment an indulgent Lipstick from Mr. Ford or maybe the Gucci pressed powder?

December 4: Best thing about snow?

I work at a historic site, so our buildings look really pretty with a fresh snowfall. But honestly... I'm over it already, slippery sidewalks, layers and layers of clothes just to go anywhere and shovelling it in the morning before you can brush off the truck to even get out of the driveway... ughhhh I'd be good with snow just on Christmas week and that's it.

December 5: What winter drinks do you enjoy? (Hot chocolate, tea, cocktails...)

I'm doing a tea advent calendar at the moment and I like having that tradition for myself. I'm also a fan of setting up a DIY hot chocolate bar at work for the week before Christmas. But... I'm more of a cold beverage gal. Iced Chai Latte feels more indulgent than my regular iced coffee for a special treat.

I fully support your indulging in either a Tom Ford lipstick or the Gucci pressed powder. Or both. I would not object to you picking up both for yourself. 😍

@itsfi I ended up with a new quad from Mr. Ford. Lol... I had talked myself out of the new cream formulas.. I didn't need any of those colour stories.... so I should have the Violete one next week.

I've never been all that into them, although they can be cute when you catch a few minutes here and there. I kinda have the feeling that it's getting to be overkill. But, if that's your thing then you must be in heaven.

December 2: Favorite holiday desserts (candy, sweet treats, drinks, etc.)?

I like to give out Lindor Truffles, and enjoy a lot of their flavors. I've also gifted Godiva. Christmas cookies are fantastic - no matter how simple. I know I mention this every year, but I miss my grandmother's penulata (I think this is the Americanized spelling -- online it comes up as pignolata). And who can forget the chocolate orange? I try to get my sister one when I send her packages.

December 3: If you won $100 dollars, what beauty item would you run out and gift yourself?

I guess I'd grab some items that recently caught my attention. CLINIQUE Quickliner™ For Eyes Eyeliner , Ulta finally has Good Molecules essence, and although I'm not a lotion fan I'd pick up a mini Hempz as it always looks so good to me. Also, a Kitsch rectangular hair clip, and maybe JVN Complete Nourishing Hair Oil Shine Drops 1.7 oz/ 50 mL if I had enough left.

December 4: Best thing about snow?

I love looking at how pretty it is. I also like the pleasure it gives me. Part excitement, part comfort.

December 5: What winter drinks do you enjoy? (Hot chocolate, tea, cocktails...)

Every year I try alcoholic egg nog, and every year I wonder why! The taste starts out good, but I don't care for the finish. I like non-alcoholic egg nog, but dislike the spiced ones. Hot chocolate is super fun, but I don't reach for it enough. NesQuik is the typical favorite, I guess, but I like to give out the packets of Land O' Lakes b/c they have such variety. I don't have any fave cocktails, but want to try a hot toddy and especially hot buttered rum. I have a feeling I'll be let down, though. It reminds me of when my mom said she was so excited when she was old enough to try cognac and brandy b/c she had watched so many old movies with the stars sipping on them elegantly. She sd she was so disappointed when they didn't taste good. I've always wanted to have glamorous crystal decanters like my friend's grandparents.

@itsfi I think I will get a sample of the JVN Complete Nourishing Hair Oil Shine Drops 1.7 oz/ 50 mL or at least try in-store. I've ran into too many hair oils that disappointed me, and I've been thinking that I prefer ones with silicone in them.

I could go for a hot toddy right now. It's rainy and miserable outside. And it's the 4th day in a row that it's been like this.

@missjeanie they have at least 10 different flavors here! Butterscotch, artic white, cinnamon, mint, strawberries and cream, s'mores, hazelnut, raspberry...

Oh good heavens @greeneyedgirl107 !! I'm thinking I need to a bit of a look see. I've seen some random flavours here every now and again in specialty shops but haven't noticed much at the grocers.

December 2: Favorite holiday desserts (candy, sweet treats, drinks, etc.)? Gingerbread cookies and pumpkin pie. I also love a hot almond drink.

December 3: If you won $100 dollars, what beauty item would you run out and gift yourself? Sadly I bought too many things already and don’t need anything at the moment.

December 4: Best thing about snow? We use to go to the mountains as a kid and ski but haven’t had too much experience with it.
