Some of us here have expressed an interest in a book club, myself, @mermadelove, @LCResz, @ZombieMetroAnt, @Mcakes. If you'd be interested in joining, reply below. My initial thought was to mail the books around but if it means that some people can't participate, then I'm all for dropping that requirement. I'd love this to be a place where we nominate our favorite book and others can read it and comment. Something fun for the new year! ETA: the booklist:

FOUR AND A HALF??!?! @itsfi I must read. I just checked the library, e-library, and Amazon and it seems like I have to fork out some coins to read so I shall put it on my wishlist.
Are we starting our "no buy, read more" month strong? 💪
"Are we starting our "no buy, read more" month strong? 💪" lol @jaaayp So far, trying to make my way through unopen packages from last month has been keeping me plenty distracted - and it's confirmed that a no buy this month is very well timed. The reading has been good for unwinding and yes, it does take up time that I might otherwise use to help stimulate the economy. 😁
I was happily surprised to see how much I enjoyed this book. Wasn't expecting that. Books usually land in the 3-1/2 to 4 stars range for me. @blackkitty2014 so a lovely find. I also wasn't expecting it to cause me to think as much as I did on marriage, relationships.
That’s exactly it @itsfi . I definitely think twice about if I really really want to make a beauty purchase. Reading is definitely keep me distracted from impulse purchase 😘
@blackkitty2014 @itsfi YAAAAY I'm so happy I have some emotional support during this low buy!!!
Reading definitely helps, at least for me. Also, not gonna lie, reading more = more accidental naps, but hey, naps are safer than online shopping, right, ladies? 😂
Oooh what else have you received this month @itsfi ? I am omw to the June haul thread after this to go check for your hauls 🤭
Kudos to everyone on their reading! I rarely read, even though I used to love it! Seems to come in spurts. You know I have a gigantic reading wish list! I did reread the first 6 books in the Bridgerton series to get ready for season 3. I didn't realize I had book 7 so I started that. I started Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey last year after I picked it up on a trip. It's hard to get into. I also read some not nice things about the author so we'll see how far I get into that. I did organize my little bookshelf with stuff to read, so after those I have the first 10 Jason Bourne books, some astronomy, and photography books lined up.
Oh you’re soo good @Samtian . I have a weird rule either book or movie but not both. Can you tell I’m lazy 😘
100% agree - it does come in spurts @Samtian! And to long reading lists! I was off of it for years and then started back on the reading for leisure (we'll say semi-regularly 😅) last year on the trip to NYC and have been trying to do a book a month this year.
That's awesome that you're getting through the Bridgerton series - book and show. Ahhh, I once had the Jason Bourne books on my "to read" list and then I got sidetracked by something else altogether - I don't think I knew then that there were that many books in the series. lol
@itsfi The Bourne books haven't stopped either haha. I think I had read the first 3 in high school...
A book a month is a great idea!
What? There's more than 10 Bourne books, @Samtian?! Oh goodness.
@itsfi 18! My brother bought me a set that had the first 10 for my birthday. I thought it was only 10 as well. Then I saw I had one that wasn't in the set Enigma, and looked it up...Enigma is book 13 haha.
hahahaha! I love reading but that's a lot of books for a series, @Samtian! 🤣 It is to books what Rocky is/was to movies.
😂🤣😂 Ermahgerd!!! 19, @Samtian? Ohhh my! Mister Matt Damon, it seems you and your movies are little behind. 🎥 Or maybe I'm behind as it's been a loooooooong time since I've been to the movies. 😆
May is a slow lazy book month. I only finished 2 short ones
I switch up to a book by another author right now though James Patterson’s Micheal Bennet is a good series to read if you like detective stuffs
@blackkitty2014 @I’ve read both books a few years ago and they were great! James Patterson is one of my favourite authors ( along with the other authors he co-writes with ). Whenever I start a JP novel I just can’t put it down and have to finish it the same day, even if it’s in the wee hours of the morning HeHe !
You have great taste ❤️
Thx you @keana1 . James Patterson is for sure easy read. I’m still working on this series. If you have any James Patterson recommendations please do send it my way 🌹
I saw this and just borrowed Step on a Crack (that's #1 in series right? LOL) @blackkitty2014
Yes @jaaayp Step on a Crack is the first one. I feel liked the next two are better but let me know what you think 😘
Lol, @blackkitty2014 ! I didn't even finish the one book I started! 😄 I have had no desire to read lately...
Hehehe @Titian06 . Some months it feels liked reading will need lots of effort 😂🤣 and brain power 😘
