Some of us here have expressed an interest in a book club, myself, @mermadelove, @LCResz, @ZombieMetroAnt, @Mcakes. If you'd be interested in joining, reply below. My initial thought was to mail the books around but if it means that some people can't participate, then I'm all for dropping that requirement. I'd love this to be a place where we nominate our favorite book and others can read it and comment. Something fun for the new year! ETA: the booklist:

This sounds good to me, @prettyinpa. I'm really enjoying reading all these books so your stuck with me!
I've been enjoying reading the books too, @Titian06. When I was looking for the HRC book in the library this AM, I had to have help because it wasn't where I thought it would be. The librarian showed me a whole section that I've never been in, the "92's" which is all these cool biographies. So I got my horizons broadened by this book club. In addition to hearing other people's opinions on the books.
@prettyinpa - I am No. 61 on the wait list for four copies of The Hate U Give. I don't know how soon I'll get the book. I'll let you know once I do.
@Titian06- I'm #23! If it's alright with everyone, lets skip ahead to the next book Never Let Me Go. That way we can kinda kick the can down the road and hopefully by the time we're finished with that one, we can do The Hate U Give.
I've been MIA on the BIC for a while, but will get back in the game for Never Let Me Go
Look forward to discussing soon @prettyinpa!
@prettyinpa - This sounds like a good idea. For Never Let Me Go, I'm No. 1 on the wait list for three copies. A book can be checked out for 21 days, so I should have this book in a couple of weeks.
@Titian06- My copy should be available Saturday, so at least this time I won't be held up by the library, lol.
@prettyinpa - I got my e-copy of Never Let Me Go this evening.
I also checked The Hate You Give; I've moved from 61 to 50 on the wait list.
I'm finally done The Fault in Our Stars, what a moving book!
Here's the link:
@prettyinpa I'm reading "To All the Boys I Loved Before" trilogy. I might do Crazy Rich Asians Trilogy next.
@prettyinpa @Titian06 and everyone else - I am so happy to see the BIC Book Club is still alive and well!
I have been super behind, but I've actually bought several books on the list and recently finished To Kill a Mockingbird (I loved re-reading this - it's been a long time since I read it and I think I got more out of it this time around) and started The Book Thief (Wow! Let me just say Markus Zusak has a gift for writing - I love this book so far)!
I'm not planning to read ahead in this thread so that I can avoid spoilers, but here are the pics I snapped when I started the books (feeling nostalgic for sunny days by the pool already ....and please pardon the bright yellow toenail polish - it didn't translate well in the pic - lol!):
@Tamara76- Love your pictures! We're discussing the books under separate threads. I'd paste the links here, but my tablet isn't very cooperative about that.
Yay @Tamara76- you look so comfy in your pool chair with your book. I read that one in the car traveling to a work venue. Boring trip but fabulous book.
Thanks, @prettyinpa!!! I need to find more time to finish The Book Thief because I am seriously loving his story telling and I love the narration device he uses.
I haven't posted any discussion on To Kill a Mockingbird and I'm not sure if y'all discussed it, but it is a classic for sure and I was glad to read it again.
I think the last discussion I posted was The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. 🙂
@prettyinpa- I finished reading The Fault in Our Stars. Ready to discuss when someone else is.
@Titian06- I've got to get going on The Fault in Our Stars. Been busy with work and too tired to read at nite, I fall asleep even if the book is a good one.
No problem, @prettyinpa! That's been my life the past few weeks.
@RachFace2921Here's the link for the Book Thief Discussion. We'll see if this helps everyone keep up with what's going on. https://community.sephora.com/t5/Besides-Beauty/bd-p/besides-beauty

The Book Thief is one of my favorites ❤️ Hope it was well received! And for the record…book > movie ! @prettyinpa
