That's so nice of you to say! Actually I just slapped the eyeshadow on with my finger (because COLOURPOP eyeshadows refuse to be picked up with brushes!) and was hoping it didn't look terrible. So thanks for your nice words: )

i purchased a full size of the NARS velvet matte skin tint. as you can see here....it doesn't mattify me completely: it allows glow to come through (some of this is highlighter, but not all). in person i don't look wet or greasy, i assure you. i liken it to the slight sheen of velvet.

Crap. You're making me want to try the NARS Velvet Matte skin tint.

Have you tried the Glossier skin tint? I'd like to know how the two compare.

I'm not Jem, but I do have both tints. Glossier is more what I'd call a true skin tint—def not a foundation, or even a BB cream. It's very, very light and liquidy, and more blurs the skintone to make it look more unified than truly covers up blemishes or discoloration. Because of its super light formula, it doesn't cling to dry patches or zits. This is what I've been wearing daily for pretty much the whole last year.

The Nars tint is more like foundation (at least to me; I haven't worn a true foundation in two years). It has a thick texture and goes on thick (at least on me), but mellows out soon after applying. It wears well throughout the day, and while some oil does come through (I've a very oily nose), it's not as oily as the Glossier can leave me.

I keep forgetting to do comparison swatches. I'll try to do those in the Nars Velvet Matte thread soon.

Sporting a moss green shadow for the challenge thread (a little out of my comfort zone).

Joe, the green is very pretty on you. I'd def recommend you try it more often! And Luster looks great.

Thanks TK. This particular green looks better than other ones I've tried. Most of the time I feel like greens look like schmutz on me.

I find that Luster helps soften the redness in my cheeks a bit. Which on me is a good thing. 😉

Thanks e4st! I love tubing mascaras. This one is Kevyn Aucoin Curling Mascara. Unfortunately not available at Sephora. I try to stock up when Nordstrom has their mascara sale (I think that's May and November).

Love it!  Going out of your comfort zone can be really fun.  🙂  Greens used to be pretty out of mine, but I'm really digging mosses and olives right now.
