Doing another eyeshadow look today! This is the side of my face you get to see today, because the other side has a great big pillow line right through my eye and down my cheek, making me look like either The Crow, or Scar from the Lion King... And if you look closely, you can see little pillow lines on this side of my face too. 😄 I know I don't look happy, but this is my everyday "I'm still waking up" face. I don't especially like mornings.

'Hello Sailor' is way more fun than I had expected! In this photo I just did one super sheer swipe of it, but I layered it a few times the other day and it made a lovely bright and cool-toned pink on my mauvey-rose lips. And it is so luxuriously moisturizing, which I never expect from a product in a traditional lipstick tube. I love it!

I don't think your lip color is too bold. I think it looks really good on you and is just right. The more color you wear, the more you get used to it. I'm going through that process right now and its not as scary as it seems!

I LOVE this lip color on you and think you should wear it around the house just so you get used to yourself in it, then you won't find it too bold and could / should wear it all the time forever and always !

Tell you what, I'll keep grabbing my colors at random (playing lip roulette lately for S n' Gs).. I've got a couple very bold colors I can try on the weekend, when I don't have to be in public. See what you think with those.

My boyfriend is sooo not helpful. I just get the "Yeah, sure, you look fine."

it's not up to what HE likes. it's up to what you like. and if he gives you a hard time, tell him it makes you happy and your happiness should be the most attractive thing to him, anyway !

Oh, that's totally the dynamic. We do what makes us happy as individuals, as well as a couple. But when I'm on the fence and am asking him for feedback (like with the bold lip this morning), I get nada. Love him to death, but it's the one minor frustration I have. Though I suppose I'm just as guilty, being" male-minded" (as my family puts it).

C'est la vie, roll with the punches.

I'll try to experiment with bold lips more often.
