Today was about working around the things fighting me right now: irritated, red, dry, raw skin; hair that stays straight for one day when blown out and rebels by morning; and a bad tremor I have from a disability acting up lately that makes applying makeup a mess (and taking clear photographs of it difficult b/c I can't hold my darn phone still):

COMPLEXION:

• I'd already applied all the barrier care serum and moisturizer I could and chose First Aid Beauty's Hello Fab: Coconut Skin Smoothie Primer Moisturizer as my primer as it's reliably moisturizing and thumbs up for sensitive skin,
• I can't wear foundation when my skin is this irritated so I opted for Supergoop! Protec(tint) Daily SPF Tint SPF 50 Sunscreen Skin Tint with Ectoin 14N , concealed with Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Brightening Concealer With Hyaluronic Acid Atelier L1 (it's so smooth and blendable) and then used Danessa Myricks Beauty Colorfix Eye, Cheek & Lip Cream Pigment - Nudes Collection Nude 1 to conceal the redness on my eyelids. I also set with Tarte Amazonian Clay Smooth Operator Loose Powder which strangely doesn't enhance dryness on me and just gives a nice, soft, blurred, brightening effect.

BLUSH:

• I knew I couldn't wear a heavy lip product today b/c they're raw so decided to base things as much as possible on my natural lip and cheek color draping Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Glow Blush 61 Desire from my cheekbones to temples (a technique I learned from, "The Duchess of Draping @danielledanielle : First of Her Name and Best in the Blush Game). I then highlighted my cheekbones with ColourPop's She's Beaming Highlighter Quad in the lightest shade.

EYEBROWS:

• My hands were too shaky to use a brow pencil so I tried my mini of Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow+ Tinted Volumizing Eyebrow Gel 1 /Cool Light Blonde. Result? Love it. I have partially white eyebrows and this worked perfectly without being too heavy looking. I may stick with the mini size b/c I like the control I got with a smaller-sized applicator. 

EYESHADOW, LINER & MASCARA: PATRICK TA Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette with tarte Tartelette™ Juicy Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette and some of the Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Glow Blush 61 Desire for color balance extended from my outer eye to temples. I also used a dark brown in the PATRICK TA palette as a shadow liner before curling my lashes and applying #Wander Beauty Mile High Club™ Length and Define Mascara Jet Black .

LIPS: I wanted something moisturizing that pretty much matched my natural lip color so used tarte maracuja juicy plumping lip oil in Desert Rose.

HAIR: don't even get me started...I'm already running long here.

Thank you so much @lmaster . Your hair is so lovely too! I'm trying to embrace the wave/curl of my hair again. I had my whole routine down when it was longer but letting it curl when it's short is new to me. Hope your week is off to a good start 🙂

Thank you @Sunnysmom. We all have our struggles and it's nice to be able to share what I've learned in addressing my own for others trying to work around similar challenges. BIC really helps me learn new application and skin care methods that work for me, I love it.

Thank you, my fellow POTSie @peculiarzmakeup . Luckily I'm not too fatigued right now, it's mostly issues with being able to stand up without fainting and the darn tremor. I love that makeup is something I can do sitting down and BIC motivates me to do something that helps me feel good about myself. You know how it goes - we just work with what we can do. It's indirectly a fun way to learn makeup application techniques for "those" days. Hope your week gets off to a good start ❤️

I'm in love your curls today @PDXXXX , I agree with the comment below, you do look very angelic.

I use the same tinted gel ( my go to is shade 3) I find it really does cover the white hairs. I have a few of those too. 😉

Benefit does brow products sooo well! 

Aaah I'm sorry to hear your skin is feeling rough and irritated. You would not be able to tell from this photo. I hope your skin calms down and recovers for you soon. ❤️‍🩹

Thank you @CynthieLu ! I'm not used to letting my hair be so curly/wavy when it's this short but I might be starting to embrace it. The upside of having sensitive dry skin is you learn all the ways to hack it but we hit the low 30s this week and it rebelled. So much yes to the Benefit brow products - it's impossible to find a cool blonde that isn't dark taupe in most lines and shade one is amazing. Ugh, the white hair - I'm always debating giving in to getting my brows waxed and tinted but I have trust issues with my brows 😂
