Thank you 😊 yes I made that blue/green always been my favorites together! I know it goes by in a flash! I kinda overdid the bronze on my nose but I think it turned out great with the lips so I’m happy 🙂 😃 @CynthieLu

Aw thank you! My grandma and I took a class when I was younger I learned to make scarfs and I made a couple purses but I’ve always wanted to make hat would be good for the season! I appreciate it 🙂 @PDXXXX

I have looked at 6 pages of what are you wearing today they are all great looks compared to my attempts. I can’t even put on lipstick with lipliner without it ending up in a messy disastrous frustrating failure. I feel so inadequate compared to everyone else here  I have attached a picture of the disastrous makeup application I have done in the past

@Andy1087 It's all about practice.  The lipstick shade looks wonderful on you.  Have you tried lining your lips with a lip liner and then filling your lips in?

@Andy1087, firstly, that shade looks beautiful on you! Not everyone can pull off purples, but you can. 

Lipsticks can definitely be messy - some formulations just fall outside or migrate outside (sometimes called bleeding outside) our lip lines. From my own experience, some of it is finding the technique that works best for you and for the particular lipstick, and that can take some practice. I did some testing of red lipsticks recently and oh goodness, what a challenge some of them turned out to be. 

Maybe try taking some product from the lipstick tube onto the pad of you fingertip. I like using the ring finger and then depositing the color from the pads of my fingers to my lips. It may take a little longer (in terms of covering my entire lip area and in building the color) but it does help me when it comes to applying brighter, more vibrant and rich toned lipsticks. And also with really creamy formulations. 

Here are some tools that I've found helpful for my own lipstick application and clean up work - 

- lip brush

- eyeshadow applicator (the ones that come in some eyeshadow palettes don't always work so well for my eyes, so I repurpose them for a few different things, including lipstick application and clean up.

- cotton swab, for clean up

- my fingers (not pictured)

Hi @Andy1087 I can tell you it takes a lot of practice to get makeup to look the way you want it. Please don't be discouraged. There's all sorts of skill and experience levels your looking at, and it's not fair to yourself to compare you to anyone else. 🩷 With practice it will improve. That's a beautifully bold purple by the way, What's it called? 

In the beginning for me, I watched a ton of makeup tutorials on YouTube. I watched until I found one that made sense for me, it takes time to find the right video that will just click.
