Twice bleached platinum blonde hair and am now lost in a sea of products.

I have read every article on how to treat, shampoo, condition, etc.. bleached platinum blonde hair and am now lost in a sea of products. I have processed my short hair twice in the last 4 or 5 months. While I am lucky that my hair is fairly healthy, it is obvious that the ends of my hair have weakened (I notice tiny white/blonde hairs on my shirt after I blow dry and style). So there is definite breakage going on. I really want Davines products but they have to be ordered online and so on.. Need something pronto before my cool beige hair loses its coolness before Christmas.

I've bleached my hair almost 20 times! Sometimes 2 times in one day. Still almost no damage to it. I just religiously use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle deep conditioner and leave it in for as long as possible in the shower. Once a week root to end and every day just ears down. My hair thanks me for it. It's also insanely inexpensive and you can get it at almost any drugstore!

Also, the Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer is simply Jesus! That's a little more on the expensive side but it's a good investment. Just don't use too much of it or it will leave your hair dry and sticky. It works great as just a moisturizer alone without any heat products, too.

Hi MHBelle! I am definitely familiar with your situation. I used to be addicted to bleaching my hair.  I would look into a mask like the Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment to use 2-3 times a week in the beginning and then make sure you are using a heat protector like the Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer.  In the Bumble clinical trials, they used the primer and went through a series of tests where they would blowdry the hair and then run a flatiron through it.  The product was not approved until they could run through the trial without damaging the hair follicle!! This is definitely going to be something important to have in your day-to-day styling regime if you're using heat. 🙂

I hope this helps!

Cheers!

Kevin
