@itsfi I will say... minimalism isn't my forte.  I'm working on it... but I always worry 'what if I need to rock a smokey/glittery eye with my high heels' on a beach vacation.   I'm working on it though... I'm working on it!

lol @missjeanie. I’m looking at “more minimalist” as more like trending in that direction than actually being the poster child for minimalism. 😆 My “bare minimum” will almost always be more than the average. Hahaha! That said, I feel like my packing for this recent trip was off in a major way - I really, really, reeeeaaally miscalculated how much of everything I actually needed. 😳 I mean, in my head, I thought 3 pairs of water shoes might be overkill. Even so, I brought 3 with me - in black, white and natural (beige). 😝 

I’ve already started putting together my packing list for my next trip. I’m hoping this helps with overpacking but that may just be wishful thinking. Ha!

lol ... I do a packing list too @itsfi Though it's more of a 'bare minimum' to pack list most days.  Also... you need water shoes to match each swimsuit.... I see your logic.

@itsfi What a cute pink compact case! I also like how your other bag is clear. It is nice to be able to see inside without opening it. How did you like packing minimally and having less to choose from? I hope you had a nice time!

The clear bags are great when traveling - I wholeheartedly agree @Mellmars1185, being able to see what’s inside comes in handy! The trip was restful and relaxing ☺️ I realized it even more after getting back and back to my regular routine. 😝 

Packing minimally worked out better than I thought. 👍🏼 I think it being a tropical locale helped as my skincare and makeup were on the lighter side, both in terms of number of products and their consistency. It’s supposed to be humid here next week and I’m considering going with the Do Over / Take 2 theme and using the makeup I used during my vacation for the Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge

@itsfi I totally understand the contrast of having a relaxing time off and then going back in routine. I am still catchint up on laundry lol. That sounds like a great idea 💡. I need to start getting back into the Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge . It has been too long. It was so helpful!
