I realized we don't have an OOTD, outfit of the day thread, which isn't needed but can still be a lot of fun.  It's dress up for me, but make it adult.

This was part spurred by my natural hair journey, Tress Trek - A Transition Journal from Relaxer to Natural and NYFW and Zendaya.  99% Zendaya.

The Fit- this can be your attire, or what has arisen from the Capsule Challenge, your makeup bag.  Hair and fragrance "fits" count, too


The Fab - What you loved enough to be inspired by or loved the most about your look

Going out to celebrate my oldest son’s birthday.  All comfy in a L’Agence silk snake blouse, a satin skirt and some brown snake shoes. 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍I used the Danessa Myricks IV palette to go with the snake theme on my eyes.

I need a better way to take full body shots.  Or maybe to clean my mirror.  I had a whole orange outfit picked out last night but my mood this morning wasn’t having it.  I ended up in plum and black tights, a plum corset over a sheer top, a velvet pearly hat from Temu (I sold my soul out of curiosity as to whether it was a legit site and for accessories). I am now spammed like crazy.  I swear they make their real money selling your info to calling lists, but they DO deliver and some things are pretty decent if you’re willing to take a gamble and expect 25% will be unusable.  The hat I have decided is going to need an arts and crafts night.  I need to sew some horsehair into it to stabilize it a bit. I also think the pearls abruptly ending looks weird.  It needs big pearl buttons on each side of the pearl strand to make it look like it’s  not just floating.  I do like the concept though so it’s worth the project to improve the quality of it. 

The dark burgundy MK pumps are so comfy.  I don’t go much higher with heels these days.  ha, and I love that I am sporting swatches on my hand.  Very chic!  

 makeup-wise I wore the ND Sunrise palette I ‘won’ with the big prize spin at Sephoria!  Again the original plan was to wear orange today, but it worked with the plum.  I do love the colours but I found I had fallout attached to my contacts half way through the day.  Not cool.  It was a foggy day for me from then on. @CynthieLu  Thank you!  It took me years to fall into my own sense of style.  It’s heavily influenced by Japanese ‘French city clothes’ but also a doll-like formula where colours are visually cohesive from head to toe.  Ha, it sounds so bizarre but it’s a formula that allows me a lot of space to play.

The Fit:  Full floral! I loved the dress (RTR dress) that I hope I'll pick it up at a good discount (it has pockets!) but the Fab for me is my oversized blazer.  I think it's a Gap one.  The thing I love the most about the blazer is that it has an inner pocket...a lot of my blazer pockets are small, so my phone goes a-flyin'.  I love the boxyness of the blazer... It's not too much where I look shapeless, it's just right.

The Fab: the weather here is transitioning and after seeing @heartsmyface rock some fishnets, I was like... Oh yeah...I have THESE.  LET'S GO!  Another point of inspo, The 7 Virtues Cherry Ambition Eau de Parfum Travel Spray 0.34 oz / 10 ml eau de parfum spray .  I should've taken more of those ribbons when they offered, but I was trying to be modest..I love how it looked with the dress and tying it to my braids just cinched the look for me. I was very demure, very cutesy this day.  This was combo week in Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge , which I'll eventually catch up on post wise.  I combined Cherry Ambition with The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods Eau de Parfum Travel Spray 0.34 oz / 10 mL and it was also very demure

Those tights paired with what might otherwise be too bubble gum alone or straight work wear are everything @danielledanielle ! I love the interplay of the florals with the texture of the tights. You styled this so well!

You and hearts are killin' it with the fishnets @danielledanielle! I'll have to give that 7 Virtues combo a try; I have my eyes set on Candied Lychee, but I know I have a sample of Cherry Ambition and a travel size of Vanilla Woods.

@danielledanielle  yes to the tights!!!!  ahh the cute outfit on top and vavoom tights reminds me of that scene in Mr.&Mrs. Smith at the dinner party.  I love the floral shoes to pull the tights right into the look.  
And I fully appreciate any skirt or top that has deep pockets!  I also regret not going back to investigate what other ribbon designs they had after realizing each perfume had a different pattern.  Did you get a Cherry Ambition one?

@danielledanielle  I wanna see more of your looks!  Playing dress up makes me so happy but I don’t wanna be the only one posting!  
Today was a little moto and a little preppy mixing prints.  Snake Guiseppi moto boots, tartan tights, patent leather shorts, a wrinkled white shirt,  argyle vest, leopard hat. I matched my shadow to my hat and went for a clashing lipstick. Gucci Transfer-Proof Matte Liquid Lipstick 25* Goldie Red  it pulls pink against the caramel in my vest.
