I realized we don't have an OOTD, outfit of the day thread, which isn't needed but can still be a lot of fun.  It's dress up for me, but make it adult.

This was part spurred by my natural hair journey, Tress Trek - A Transition Journal from Relaxer to Natural and NYFW and Zendaya.  99% Zendaya.

The Fit- this can be your attire, or what has arisen from the Capsule Challenge, your makeup bag.  Hair and fragrance "fits" count, too


The Fab - What you loved enough to be inspired by or loved the most about your look

I am not absolutely certain when I wore this outfit - I want to say it was the day before the other ambassadors arrived, when I spent the day frolicking about Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market in Atlanta. 

• Jacket is from Velvet Heart - I picked this up at a super cute boutique in Portland, OR a few years back
• Peplum sleeveless top is from Old Navy
• Loose black trousers from Vince 
• I initially went casual with a pair of off-white sneakers from Cariuma but it started raining just as I was about to walk out the door so I went with a pair of Sam Edelman black block heel booties

• The puffy hooded jacket came out since it started raining
• Accessories were minimal, with the star being the winky girl bag (gratis) worn as a crossbody, a generic pink hair claw clip from my high school days (yeah, I hold onto things, lol), and the striped pouch clipped to the bag holds a foldable shopping bag and my Touchland Power Mist Hydrating Hand Sanitizer Mango Passion 

My makeup was basic, for the most part

lol @heartsmyface. I feel like I pack a lot of black pieces (because I have a lot of black pieces, ha!), then work my way around that. I do love the jewel tones so fall and winter could be fun to figure out what to mix and match.

@CorgiMommy, thank you. It's hard to know what to pack sometimes. This may be a repeated outfit for future travel, with some adjustments to account for location and weather.

@itsfi  love this outfit and your accessories (I love that you have a hair clip from high school!), I know you looked super stylish in this! It also seems like a comfortable and practical outfit too, which is definitely a huge plus!

Awww, thank you @caitbird; that’s so kind of you to say. I’m so much more into comfort than before. 😆 Some days I’ll wear this outfit (or a similar one - black skinny jeans or more tailored pants) with a pair of heels. I like the functionality and versatility of this one. 

lol, I have a handful of hair clips from high school - it’s how I can tell I have less hair and thinner hair than I used to. I wish I had my hair scrunchies too - then I wouldn’t have to keep buying them. They are to me like socks are to other people in that I always seem to be missing one. 😝

Also good call on shoe switch, I hate when my shoes get muddied or damaged when I saw the weather changing or knew about it and forgot 😂😭

Thank you @danielledanielle! That’s good of you to say. Though I want to, I never feel I ever get casual chic down. I only wore two pairs of shoes when I was in Atlanta - my booties or sneakers. Oh, make that 3 if you count my slippers I wore in my room. 😆 

This thread is gonna be fun for me (my wallet is thinking “don’t you already have enough “fun” with clothes purchases?!!” 😱 😆).

Love the reframe @danielledanielle 👍🏼 This bonus is well timed. I’ve been meaning to put some extra effort into my fall wardrobe. I’ve generally had a “uniform” of some sorts and that’s made it very easy - from suits / very corporate business wardrobe to business casual (and all that can entail) to just phoning it in with black slacks or jeans, a cute top and a blazer or cardigan. I can’t say I won’t fall back to any of these, but this might give me more incentive to shop my stash, and, like I said, put more effort into finding a blend of classics and trends that suit me. Thank you!

The Fit: chartreuse blazer over a teal wide leg jumpsuit! I never wear blazers (pretty sure this is the only one I own and I had kind of forgotten I had it) so I felt very mature and put together at work today🤣

My shoes:

Fun fact, I have discovered that I have to wear heels with this jumpsuit bc it is so long on me, if I wear flats I trip over the hems every time I go up the stairs 😅

The Fab: I love this cat in the moon pin I wore today! I have so many cool pins but I never remember to wear them lol

The Face:
