Winter is officially here, and with it comes another seasonal edition of Shop Your Stash / Use Your Stash. Please feel free to use this space to identify and talk about the beauty product(s) you plan to use or are thinking about using or working through this winter. Products can be makeup, skincare, hair care, bath & body items, fragrance, nail care or other beauty products in your collection.

What Is "Shopping Your Stash"?

"Shopping your stash" is the practice of using / making the most of the beauty products in your existing collection. Check out the posts below for more info regarding:

If you're interested in or looking to work on a year long project with the aim of using up / finishing or hitting pan on products check out Pan It! - 2025 Challenge - NOTE: I'll update the link once the 2026 thread is up! I can't believe that we're heading into year 9 of the pan it! challenge @ElleElleG! Brava, brava! It's definitely helped me use up some items I never thought I'd even make a dent in. Thank you!!

For those wondering, what's the difference between "Shop Your Stash" and the Pan It! Challenge or project pan?, great question, because they do have some similarities to them. Everyone has their own approach to panning projects. I've briefly noted in the spoiler below how I look at each and how I approach both challenges.

I use the Pan It! Challenge to work through products over the course of the year, with the aim of trying to use up the product, hit pan or to see how much I can get through in a year. The Pan It! Challenge has been great for accountability and encouragement. For myself, I have, in the past picked a smaller number of products to focus on panning during the year and the items I select are usually made in an effort to try to get myself into a routine of using them or reaching for something and being consistent with it. The monthly check-ins on that thread help me hold myself accountable and let's face it, they often spur me to use one or more of the items I've set aside for the pan it! challenge before it's time to check in, which usually causes me to be better about using those items at the start of the next month.
The Shop Your Stash challenge, on the other hand, for me, at least, have a more seasonal approach to them, whether due to the product's functionality or because it's something I want to focus on for a particular period of time (but not the entire year). For instance, while there are no hard line rules on what shades to wear during a particular season, I am more likely to wear deeper tones or do a smokey eye more often in the winter season. In that vein, in an effort to help me actually use those types of products in my collection, I may identify 1 or 2 blush shades or eyeshadows to primarily rotate through during the winter months. That's not to say that I won't use other products or buy other items but my focus is to try to get as much use out of what I already have during that time period.

Final check-in for the winter edit of Shop Your Stash. I didn't make all my goals but did a fairly good job working towards them, for most products. A check mark on the product means I hit my goal, not necessarily that I used up the product (as the goal for some products was just to get some more use out of them, not to finish them).

Pyungkang Yul Eye Gels	Finish	In progress. I like these. A contender for replacing the Sephora Collection caffeine eye masks.
Caudalie Grape Water Moisturizing Face Mist 6.7/200ml	Finish	Done 3.21.2026, a modern miracle that I finished this. All thanks to the heat wave in Los Angeles.
rhode Glazing Milk Ceramide Facial Essence 4.2oz/124ml	Finish	Progress made but did not finish this winter. I will start to transition to lighter products and will have to find a secondary use for this one to help move it along. May use it like a body serum.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Hydrating & Waterproof Setting Spray 3.3 oz / 100 ml	Finish	Done 2.26.2026; while it's not in my top 3, I'm remembering why it was a past fave. This is best suited for my skin in the fall/winter months. I won't repurchase but I will keep one of the mini sizes I have; all others will be donated / re-homed.

Rhode Lip Treatment - Peppermint Glaze (limited edition)	Finish	Done 1.20.2026; would repurchase if it were not a limited edition item. The mint scent on this is subtle (unlike the sugar mint scent on her new lip mask - for me the unscented version on that lip mask is the way to go)
Rhode Lip Treatment - Cinnamon Bun (limited edition)	Finish	Done 2.12.2026; love the smell and neutral-soft brown tint on this one. It's said to have a subtle shimmer to it but I don't see it on my lips. Would definitely repurchase if this were brought back into the line.
Fenty Icon Lipstick sample trio	Finish 2 of 3	Finished 1 of 3; 3.11.2026. These lipstick sample blisters are deceiving as they pack in a ton of product. I think I may have a full size of the shade I finished, Pose Queen - it's a peachy-leaning nude shade that surprisingly looks not so bad on my lips. Happy to be able to include this in Foil Challenge for the month; hoping to get another from this packet finished posted to that thread before the end of spring - this is carrying over to Shop Your Stash Challenge: Spring 2026 🦋. I know I won't be able to finish off the last 2 colors but aiming for one, Scholar Sista. Stay tuned.

Grande Cosmetics GrandeLASH - MD Lash Enhancing Serum .067 oz / 2 mL	Use	Ugh. For some reaso, I just couldn't get myself into a good pattern of use this time around.
Diptyque Candle - Mimosa	Finish	Done 3.2.2026 - fresh, sweet, floral, honey with a tinge of hay every so often. It can be strong but I don't find it overwhelming necessarily, like Baies can be for me. The hay notes though do give me pause sometimes though I don't always smell it and it's always been very subtle and fleeting.
Diptyque Candle - Étoile	Finish	Done 1.11.2026 - floral, softly powdery; it's a winter scent for me, which is fitting as it's often part of the brand's holiday / Christmas releases.
Diptyque Candle - Baies	Finish	Done 3.14.2026 - fruity floral. It's one of the brand's most popular scents but can be too intense for me when lit for too long; maybe it's the jamminess of the rose notes in this one(?) or that my space is not very large, or a combo of both. An hour or two is okay but more than that and I have to open a window to help diffuse the scent a bit.

EADEM Cloud Cushion Dewy Plumping Moisturizer — Ceramide & Peptide-Rich for Supple, Radiant Skin	Use / Finish	Done 3.25.2026. A surprise finisher. I'm happy about that, I did not want to have to toss it. It's a nice PM moisturizer for the transition months (winter to spring and summer to fall) as well as good AM one in the cooler seasons. We received a full size at SEPHORiA so I'm all set when the cooler weather rolls around.
e.l.f. Glow Reviver Lip Oil Glimmer (Crystal Baller)	Use - Stay or Go?	I'm on the fence, but leaning towards letting this go. I can feel the sparkles in this one at times, which I just prefer not to. Will keep this around through summer to test in the warmer seasons before deciding to keep it or let it go.

Some but not all of these items will make their way to the Shop Your Stash Challenge: Spring 2026 🦋. Unless the season is off or otherwise noted, I'll continue to work on products that don't carry over to the spring edit of Shop Your Stash.

Thank you, thank you @ather! It's been a lot of fun working through these products. Between this, the pan it! challenge and just being better minded and intentional about my beauty spend, I've been doing pretty well with keeping with my no/low(er) buy and using up products. Win-win!

Ahhh, that photo (of the nails) was from an earlier time; they're shorter now, but growing. I have a gel mani (my first!!!) right now, testing out the manucurist LED gel nails system - manucurist ‌💅 . Got them done at Sephoria and they've been holding up fairly well. I have another 10 days to go (they claim the gel polish lasts for up to 21 days) so we'll see how well it lives up to its claims.

Nice! Is the manicurist new to Sephora? I don’t think it’s available here yet. I’m curious to see if they will last the whole time! I put some press on nails on for Easter and I wanted to change them out but they are holding on so good. 😊 I mean it’s not bad. But I’m just ready to use a different set. Maybe I should try Gel again!!!

Hi ya! I’ve been MIA but the hubs surprised me with a bday getaway. I got to using almost everything but didn't finish everything.

I forgot where I had put these (gulp) and haven’t worn them at all. Sorry. I like lighter coverage in spring and summer so I won’t use these much until fall. Sorry.

Loved the loves going into this. It’s too bad Sephora doesn’t carry snif because I would have got it for the challenge. Bestie got me a full size of it for my bday. I smell like pancakes and maple syrup all day long and I love it. Thinking about get a full size of the Kayali or Miami Shake for the challenge. Used all the ones with hearts and checks.

I have to check if the L’Occitane foot cream comes in a bigger size. I want the bigger size and another travel one for my purse. Something's off with the deoderant and I don't like the lip scrub. The sunscreen is everything it’s says, my new love. Even the hubs likes it. Got more Fenty lip mask during the FF sale.

I know everyone raves about the One/Size spray and I want to love it but it breaks me out if I wear it too much but this L’Oréal mist doesn’t and holds pretty good and is cheaper. I’ll give the One/Size another try in summer and compare it to the L’Oréal to see if I still like it more.

I had a hearty lol moment when I read about you forgetting where you stored those foundation samples - story of my life! 😂 Out of curiosity, do you have a go-to lighter coverage foundation or one you really like in the warmer seasons?

Totes digging the shop my stash thing. There's things I use up with no problem but a handful of other things that I don't ever feel like I can get on top of. Sure, I guess not buying more would help but that's not gonna happen anytime soon, best I can do is not purchase as much. 🤣 I get the feeling I'm not the only one around here and gotta say that sorta feels nice. Right now, I'm all about Iconic London Super Smoother Blurring Skin Tint which I can wear all seasons. When I feel fanciful it's Trinny London BFF De-Stress Tinted Serum or for extra glowy days can't beat Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation. @itsfi

@ohlonna, that's great to hear you're enjoying your stash and having fun shopping it. Makes perfect sense you would continue to purchase beauty products even as you shop your stash. That's pretty normal as far as I'm concerned. Especially with all the fun & fabulous releases that brands have been coming out with. Shopping your stash and hauling are not mutually exclusive; depending on how you approach it, it can help recalibrate how you go about new purchases.

Ahhh, love the Chanel Les Beiges collection 😍 and that foundation in particular. Chanel really does a lovely job with their foundations ... and their blushers and ... 😆 I've heard good things about that Iconic London skin tint before but have only tried a few things from the brand; will definitely take a peek at the skin tint after I've cleared through a few more of my lighter coverage bases.

For the One Size, maybe use it as a sealant? Like the final step in your routine. I don't break out with O/S mattifying but a lot of the newer setting sprays do the same (their powder melt just did this to me). If I'm stuck with a setting spray, I try to use it as a single spray at the end, or use it to wet glittery eyeshadows so they set

@itsfi , Maison Margiela ‘REPLICA' By the Fireplace Eau de Toilette with Chestnut, Vanilla, and Clove Oil is one of my favorite scents of all time.I think this is the second one I've finished (the first was the 1oz/30 mL). I kind of try not to blow through it since MM ups the price annually 🙃 But, I went heavy handed with it to finish it, like dousing myself in it. Honestly ,I could wear this everyday if I wanted. It doesn't have great longevity, except in fabric. I love it sprayed into a scarf 🥰🤌🏽🤌🏽

I reached for my very old bottle of Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo as I didn't like Living Proof Mini Clarifying Detox Shampoo 2oz / 60ml I bought and cannot return. At first I found it to be too stripping, which I knew it would be. But now days later my hair oils are coming back, and I'm thankful for the reset. I'm still looking for a new clarifying shampoo, but this'll do for now.
