Photos of Your Stash

I saw a thread a while back on here about counting your makeup products.  It was amazing to see those numbers!  While I was reorganzing and going through my makeup since I have moved on to Sephora, and since some things expired and I learned that the hard way lol, I got the silly idea to take a picture of it lol. So if you're bored or just reorganizing your stash, feel free to take a picture and post it!  Smiley Happy My collection is in the little league range at the moment lol

This is my stash after I went through stuff.  I don't use my Victoria's Secret kit much anymore since I discovered Sephora, but I still do use the blushes in it and the lip products when I'm at home for the day.  The main two palettes I've been using are from Urban Decay and Kat Von D, and I love both!

Here's my stash back to organization on my spinny organizer my granny gave me for Christmas.  It works well for the moment, but there's no way I can fit my polishes in it lol.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

yeah, i totally don't get the clear cube. i joined specktra (another makeup community) last week and there was a whole thread about clear cube dupes. but why can't they just get clear drawers from the container store or something? I dunno

i like zuca bags. i know tons of girls who figure skate (at least in my area?) use them to carry all their stuff to practice & stuff. it's super cute when the 6 year olds are sitting on them and putting on their skates Smiley Tongue i hardly ever go to skating rinks now but i imagine it's still all the rage. I think they're really practical for travel, anyhow! they even have pet ones (i haven't decided if that's cute or just plain crazy!)

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Geez...little KIDS have Zuca bags? If I had a kid I would just get one of those little childrens suitcases with pictures of princesses or something on them...$300 is a little extreme for a kid suitcase. I havent seen the pet ones but I think thats stupid. Animals dont need luggage or jewerly. Ridiculous.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

yeah i think some of the parents spoil their kids too much around here. BUT zuca's do make a tiny bit of sense for figure skaters since they do carry a lot of stuff and do need a place to sit.... i never understood the crazy parents around here

i'm going to post photos of my stash soon! I reorganized it about a week ago and I'm feeling good about it! =)

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Figure skaters always have plenty of benches to sit on and any little suitcase from Marshalls or TJ Maxx would be just fine, especially for a kid. But the Zuca is really a godsend for makeup artists especially...they are able to fit everything they own into that one bag.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

I have never heard of Zuca before either, but there is no way I could bring myself to pay that much for it.  I'd rather use that money towards makeup or something else lol.  Just imagine how many basic makeup bags or plastic drawer sets you could buy with that money.  The drawers would make towers lol.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

I cant bring myself to spend $300 on a Zuca either. I want one, and its awesome and I would get it if I owned as much makeup as tenngal because I hate drawers and giant organizers that look ugly and take up space. But I would only use it 2-3 times a year for travel and the rest of the time it would just sit in the closet...empty and alone. So with what I would do with it, it wouldnt be worth the money spent. Re: Photos of Your Stash

@sephoramusthave:  I totally agree with you that The Clear Cube is WAY overpriced for a set of clear drawers.  Their appeal is that they are a pretty set of drawers versus my set of Rubbermaid drawers, but for me price versus pretty is a no-brainer.  I'll stick to my Rubbermaid system which has worked well for me (even though it's not pretty and shiny like the cube, ha ha).  Actually, after I really started checking out the dimensions of The Clear Cube, it wouldn't hold very much makeup versus my Rubbermaid drawers so it wouldn't even work for me anyway.  If I was going to pay $300 for some organization setup it would be for the Zuca bag.  I probably wouldn't use it for makeup but for all the small things that I'd love to organize, such as sunglasses, belts, scarves, wallets, etc.  I could put the Zuca to some awesome use for that and really get organized!  Unfortunately, I don't have $300 to spend on anything except necessities right now.  ~~Sigh...~~  Oh well, a girl can always dream, right?  Smiley Happy

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Here is a pic of somebody's fully stocked clear cube. It can hold a decent amount of makeup but it doesnt look very organized to me. Okay its decently organized but things can get lost in here too. Items in the middle that are stacked cant be seen that well even if the drawers are clear. They are skinny drawers and to be able to fit everything in you have to stack things on top of each other. Is it bad that I know some of these items in here? In just the top drawer I see a Benefit Some Kinda Gorgeous Foundation, a Benefit Sugarbomb blush and a Benefit Bella Bamba Blush. That little pink spotted palette could be Too Faced and I dont know whether or not the NARS items are shadows or blushes. I'm gonna go with blushes.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

@sephoramusthave  I'm not liking that organization either.  Depending on how hard you pull out the drawer, it looks like some items might fall over from their stacks.  For 300 bucks, they should have added organization spaces to the inside of the drawers that can be moved to how the person likes.  The third drawer from the top has an organizing tray in it, but after spending all the money, the person shouldn't have to spend more money to organize the inside in some way.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

@sephoramusthave:  Regarding the photo you found of the fully loaded cube...I totally agree with you.  I don't like it.  I think the drawers look neither deep nor long enough so everything is just piled on top of each other.  At least with my Rubbermaid drawers I can see what I've got and have everything spread out so that it's within easy reach.  I had already decided there was no way I was spending $300 on the cube, but your photo definitely showed me how it wouldn't work for me at all. So thanks for talking me out of the clear cube and saving me a bunch of money, ha ha!
