Photos of Your Stash

I saw a thread a while back on here about counting your makeup products.  It was amazing to see those numbers!  While I was reorganzing and going through my makeup since I have moved on to Sephora, and since some things expired and I learned that the hard way lol, I got the silly idea to take a picture of it lol. So if you're bored or just reorganizing your stash, feel free to take a picture and post it!  Smiley Happy My collection is in the little league range at the moment lol

This is my stash after I went through stuff.  I don't use my Victoria's Secret kit much anymore since I discovered Sephora, but I still do use the blushes in it and the lip products when I'm at home for the day.  The main two palettes I've been using are from Urban Decay and Kat Von D, and I love both!

Here's my stash back to organization on my spinny organizer my granny gave me for Christmas.  It works well for the moment, but there's no way I can fit my polishes in it lol.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

I cant bring myself to spend $300 on a Zuca either. I want one, and its awesome and I would get it if I owned as much makeup as tenngal because I hate drawers and giant organizers that look ugly and take up space. But I would only use it 2-3 times a year for travel and the rest of the time it would just sit in the closet...empty and alone. So with what I would do with it, it wouldnt be worth the money spent. Smiley Sad

Re: Photos of Your Stash

@sephoramusthave:  I totally agree with you that The Clear Cube is WAY overpriced for a set of clear drawers.  Their appeal is that they are a pretty set of drawers versus my set of Rubbermaid drawers, but for me price versus pretty is a no-brainer.  I'll stick to my Rubbermaid system which has worked well for me (even though it's not pretty and shiny like the cube, ha ha).  Actually, after I really started checking out the dimensions of The Clear Cube, it wouldn't hold very much makeup versus my Rubbermaid drawers so it wouldn't even work for me anyway.  If I was going to pay $300 for some organization setup it would be for the Zuca bag.  I probably wouldn't use it for makeup but for all the small things that I'd love to organize, such as sunglasses, belts, scarves, wallets, etc.  I could put the Zuca to some awesome use for that and really get organized!  Unfortunately, I don't have $300 to spend on anything except necessities right now.  ~~Sigh...~~  Oh well, a girl can always dream, right?  Smiley Happy

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Here is a pic of somebody's fully stocked clear cube. It can hold a decent amount of makeup but it doesnt look very organized to me. Okay its decently organized but things can get lost in here too. Items in the middle that are stacked cant be seen that well even if the drawers are clear. They are skinny drawers and to be able to fit everything in you have to stack things on top of each other. Is it bad that I know some of these items in here? In just the top drawer I see a Benefit Some Kinda Gorgeous Foundation, a Benefit Sugarbomb blush and a Benefit Bella Bamba Blush. That little pink spotted palette could be Too Faced and I dont know whether or not the NARS items are shadows or blushes. I'm gonna go with blushes.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

@sephoramusthave  I'm not liking that organization either.  Depending on how hard you pull out the drawer, it looks like some items might fall over from their stacks.  For 300 bucks, they should have added organization spaces to the inside of the drawers that can be moved to how the person likes.  The third drawer from the top has an organizing tray in it, but after spending all the money, the person shouldn't have to spend more money to organize the inside in some way.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

@sephoramusthave:  Regarding the photo you found of the fully loaded cube...I totally agree with you.  I don't like it.  I think the drawers look neither deep nor long enough so everything is just piled on top of each other.  At least with my Rubbermaid drawers I can see what I've got and have everything spread out so that it's within easy reach.  I had already decided there was no way I was spending $300 on the cube, but your photo definitely showed me how it wouldn't work for me at all. So thanks for talking me out of the clear cube and saving me a bunch of money, ha ha!

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Haha thats what I'm here for. Honest opinions. Smiley Very Happy

I just did a search for makeup organizers to see what else is out there but apparantly there's nothing. Everyone organizes makeup into drawers, plastic cabinets, cosmetics bags, traincases or those spinn around things. I thought there'd be more...hm. >_< I guess there's nothing better than the Zuca Bag.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

lol Kimmie your so right! I laughed b/c that's EXACTLY what I was thinking. Imagine all the makeup I could buy for $300. lol

I bought these little mini drawer towers from Bed Bath and Beyond and I have my makeup quasi organized that way lol

Re: Photos of Your Stash

um have you guys seen this new SEPHORA ZUCA BAG!!?

find it here

Re: Photos of Your Stash

@jxw200- That's an awesome bag!  But nearly $300, yow, I could buy a lot of makeup for that. Though with the VIB sale it would still be....a lot!

Re: Photos of Your Stash

i know! I wouldn't buy it either. Smiley Sad

but it's exciting! Especially since we had talked about how cool those bags must be!

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Thats awesome. Sephora is totally listening to our posts and I appreciate that!

Its exactly like the MAC for Zuca Bag, except that it has the Sephora logo instead of the MAC logo. Its completely awesome, and I'm still kinda drooling over it, but very overpriced. TJ Maxx has incredible suitcases for 80 bucks, and you can always find those plastic drawer things somewhere...

Still makes me sad that I cant afford it though. Smiley Sad

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Re: Photos of Your Stash

@katie1724 I'm super jealous of your NARS blush collection!

Does anybody have good storage tips?  I have an organizer that I got from the container store that sits on top of my counter, but I have heard that its not good to store makeup in the bathroom due to humidity.  I also keep some things in the drawers in my bathroom... maybe that is a little better?  Smiley Tongue

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Re: Photos of Your Stash

I love the organizer! Such a great idea!

Re: Photos of Your Stash

You guys are so organized! My stuff are all over the place now. On my vanity, in the bathroom, stuffed in three different desk drawers and mostly crowded into a giant train case. I meant to reorganize this summer but haven't gotten around to it.

@katie -  Ahhhhhhh, I've long wanted to see your infamous NARS blush collection! *can die happy now*

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Here is my modest stash! I love it so much! Smiley Very Happy The 1st picture is the purple velvet thing the UD 15 Palette first came in holding makeup remover, moisturizer, sephora samples, and other stuff. The 2nd is of all my makeup! YAY! By the way, if you recognize something, please comment! Smiley Wink

Re: Photos of Your Stash

@marinaanne147  I like how you found a way to use the packaging your Anniversary palette came in!

Now, I spy with my makeup detecting eye:

a Tarte palette in the corner (I think)

Urban Decay Primer Potion in a Tube

And do I see Benefit's Posietint?  Or one of their other ones?

Re: Photos of Your Stash

Sorry, I didn't reply sooner kimmi115. But, you were totally right! Tarte's Eye Couture Palette, Benefit's Posietint, and UDPP in a tube are all in my stash! Thanks! That velvet box was just too pretty to throw away!

tenngal, I LOVE your stash! Where is the magnifying mirror from? I've been looking for one of those!

Re: Photos of Your Stash

@marinaanne:  I got the magnifying mirror at Ulta.  They have a lot to choose from.  I've had mine for a few years, so they've probably got a lot of new and improved models out now.

Re: Photos of Your Stash

tenngal: Good to know. I'm not sure if I have an Ulta near me, but I'll definitely check! Thanks for a fast reply!

Re: Photos of Your Stash

So my stash has definitely grown- luckily it still fits into my makeup organization system. I did have to pull the lip thing out of the empty section it was taking the space of. Haha.  I also had to put my brushes in a separate vase (not pictured) but I like it better that way. I just need to find those beed things people put in the vases...
