Patchy contour & silicon foundation

Hi, I’ve used 2 foundations silicon based so far ( dior backstage and haus labs ) and when i use the cream fenty contour stick, it gets patchy looking like it’s separating. Doesn’t do it with water based foundation. Are cream contour incompatible with silicon based products? Thanks!!
