Welcome to Year 7 of our Pan It! Challenge
The "Rules"
To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections. For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.

Ideas to Help You Pan Those Items:
Past Panning Challenges:
@missjeanie Thanks! I am hoping to make a dent in this one. I feel like it can work with most or all of the palettes that I already have.
Here are the palettes that are up for being panned this year:
I tried the mini ND palette this morning and really liked it so that may get my vote for primary project, but what do yall think?
@ElleElleG I'd personally go for a quad... they both look to be good 'everyday' shades. But I'm also curious about how long it would take someone to pan the Fenty... mostly since I considered it for panning myself this year. Can't wait to see what you picked!
@ElleElleG beautiful choices! That Huda is stunning.
Wow you've already made great progress on some of those! @ElleElleG
I would vote for ND mini since they are so easy to use but then you might feel like doing some other brands since you kill it with ND in 23. I’m rooting for you @ElleElleG whatever you decide to pan. 👏👏👏
@ElleElleG, a lot of oooohs and aaaaahs looking at the palettes you’re considering for your primary project. 😍😍 I’m partial to that ND mini Star palette, because you know… me and ND palettes. 😆 That green & brown duo chrome looks so beautiful! 💚🤎
I spy a lovely dip in the middle shade of that pretty purple Huda Beauty palette. I know you love purples.
Whichever you choose, I know for a fact you will slay - both with wearing and panning the shadows. We all get to join in for the ride!
If you're loving the mini ND I say go with it for one of your choices for sure. It'll add some fun too your panning. 😉 @ElleElleG
Is that a Charlotte Tilbury quad on the bottom right? My vote is split between that and the mini ND!
@ElleElleG I vote the Charlotte quad! Those are actually hard to pan. I worked on panning a shade in my Charlotte quad last year and it took forever just to hit pan it was so deep. I will work on it again to fully pan it at some point I’m sure! I did enjoy working on it though and it was a beautiful shadow.
@ElleElleG & everyone else in this years Pan It! - 2024 Challenge 💞 what's the best way to pass or trash new and revisited items?
TerraCycle is my go-to for cosmetics packaging recycling; however, this does require the container to be emptied so this is reserved for my almost-empty-trash-the-remainder items or things that aren’t safe/sanitary to pass on. For new or gently used products, I have shipped boxes to Project Beauty Share. Check out their website for their requirements
@KeriCherryDee, do you know of a better way to get involved with their mission?
@missaa8 Some cosmetology programs accept old makeup, not for use on clients, but so students can practice making face charts without wasting the good makeup. Try getting in touch with high schools near you and see if the cosmetology teacher can use them (assuming there is a cosmo program there)
Another option is to empty them as best as you can and drop off the containers at your local PACT drop box. Marshall’s (or Winners in Canada) have drop boxes where you can deposite empties so they get properly recycled.
@missaa8 I prefer to only pass things that I can’t touch directly (like foundations) or things I can sanitize. For example I’ll spritz an eyeshadow palette with alcohol before giving it to someone. Most things are safe to discard in the trash and should have a note on the packaging if it needs to be discarded in a more specialized way.
Hope that helps
These are the items I have chosen to work on.

kosas concealer- finish
tatcha primer- finish- have no idea how much is left

@BluePaisley Those look like a great full face, and some great achievable goals!
@BluePaisley Great items, and progress already! Whiskey is a pretty color.
OMG this reminds me I need to finish my Eaze Drop foundation. When I first purchased it I was in love but it seems to have gotten more orange over time? Now I can only wear during the summer 😔 @BluePaisley
