Welcome to Year 7 of our Pan It! Challenge 

The "Rules"

To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections.  For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.

Getting Started (please share the following)

• Which item(s) you would like to work on
• How long you will work on said item
• Goal: explore a new item, revisit an old item, decide whether to keep pass or trash, and/or completely finish item, etc.
• Starting photo of item

Please Use This Thread To...

• share what item(s) you are working on,
• provide comparative progress photos of your item(s) monthly (at the beginning of the month when possible),
• ask questions,
• encourage others,
• motivate others with the looks you create with your item(s)

Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:

• Take photos!!  When you think you aren’t making a dent in anything look back at those photos, I’m certain you’ll see some changes 😃 *this is the number one recommendation for everyone, regardless of how long you’ve been panning! Those photos add up and can help you realize progress you might otherwise overlook.
• If you goal is to hit pan or use something up entirely, try concentrating your brush/applicator in the same area each time you use it
• Multitask your products: eyeshadows as highlighter, lipstick as blush, eyeshadow as brow powder, etc. 
• Layer eyeshadow to create different colors (this is especially helpful to get use out of shades you’re not fond of).
• Have shadows with a ton of fall out?  Use water
• Watching the progress of others’ can be fun but try not compare your progress to theirs.  We all use our makeup differently and have different goals.
• Don’t restrict yourself to only using the item(s) you are working on.  It’s more than OK to incorporate other items or take a break!
• Makeup should be fun….if you begin to dread doing your makeup because you made a commitment to use a product that you now hate, TOSS IT!  Do not force yourself to use up something you don’t like.  Move on to something else!  (This includes excluding particular shades from your goals if focusing on palettes, etc.)

 Ideas to Help You Pan Those Items:

• Roll the dice: number your items and use a random number generator to pick what you will use each (day/week/month/etc.) 
• Layer/Mask: items you are less fond of under things you like
• Pan a Look: at the beginning of the week pick a look that you can wear everyday
• Recreate: a look worn by a fellow BICer, celebrity, etc.
• Spice up an "everyday" look by adding subtle pops of color (in the crease or on the lower lash line, mix lip products to make shades wearable, etc.)

Hahaha @itsfi . I was thinking about 1 YSL and TF Metallust or TF quad in crème formula. 😘 The race of using things up before they go bad is soooo on. 😂🤣

Oh @blackkitty2014, either of your choices would make a wonderful complement to Stora Dolls as part of a panning project. TF Metallust or a TF creme palette - that's a hard decision. lol, yes, indeed, the race is ON! It's so easy to accumulate but not so easy to use up. 😅 We got this - maybe slow and steady, but we will pan our eyeshadows.

Impressive @CookieGirl1! Look at all that pan! That Makeup by Mario has really been a  great product for you, hasn’t it? I know this is not your 1st (or 2nd or …) pan of this beauty!

@itsfi it's definitely a love.  This was my second but yes, I have a third compact that I've started working on already 😊.

Look at that... almost time for a July update... so that means I should post my beginning of June photos lol!

I still have a few products that I'm working away at and showing progress, but I've got a few that are just hanging on for dear life.

I set up a box of 'to be panned' products.  As I go through my stash looking for Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge capsules, I've been moving a few things here and there into the Pan It box.  Hoping this box keeps me focused on using these things up.

I kind of ignored both of these for the month of May, but June has seen progress, so I'm hoping to show some major lines on these bottles next week!This lip gloss/oil... It needs to be done. I need to push harder on this one to have some better progress this month. The Too Faced Foundation is one that I'm trying to mix in quite a bit to get it done before summer is out. The Sunflower fragrance has been moving VERY quickly. I put it on my vanity and removed any other fragrances so was able to power though it. The Ouai serum. I'm still not sold that it's doing anything. I haven't been super consistent with my use so that may be my fault. I might try another less pricy hair serum at some point and see if I can get in the habit of using it before committing to another Ouai. The TCFS lip scrub is an easy one to use. I've been using it a few times a week and am happy to have it used up as it goes.I finally hit pan on the second lightest shade. Now that I can see the light I'll try to use the bottom left shade a bit more.I came to June 1 with about one or two uses on the sample size ABH pencil. I will be retiring the Ulta brow gel with the sample size and rotating in a full size brand new ABH pencil.So.... The Origins Mask. I'm 90% sure this may have given me a breakout. Instead of tossing it, I used almost half a tube slathering it all over my body before a shower. I left it for 5 minutes then showered it all off. One more full body masking session and this will be done. I'm going to rotate in the Lemon mask to use it both on my face and décolleté. I find it a bit strong at times, so I'm going to use it right before a shower in small doses.

@missjeanie  excellent progress! Wow, you have really made a lot of progress with that Floral Street perfume - I have never used a single fragrance that much, so I'm impressed! I love your idea to use the Origins mask for your body, I never would have thought of that.

Excellent call on repurposing that Origins mask @missjeanie. You are so close to being D-O-N-E with that Vaseline body lotion - I'm invested in you getting through with that one. You've been so diligent with it and so dedicated and determined to working through it - impressive. I will jump up and down with joy when you report that it has been fully panned! It's a question of when, not if. You got this! 👊

I would like to incorporate more makeup items on here but I haven't gone through my collection yet, so maybe this weekend, I'll provide some additional items 🙃

• Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Serum with Vitamin C has anyone tried this? This worked OK but it smelled like... swimming pool water? (I forgot to take a picture before I recycled it at sephora...)
• TULA Skincare Brightening Treatment Drops Triple Vitamin C Serum 1 oz / 30 ml 
• amika Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo
